Absolutely incredible food. All of the salsas are homemade. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Looks a bit like a fast food place at first, but it is so worth trying for the flavor. Their toppings are buffet style. I wasn’t excited until I tried the toppings. Almost everything homemade, absolutely delicious and spicy options. Not Americanized food.

I’ve been here twice since they opened 8 days ago. They give each guest a warm welcome and are always happy to explain the menu if there are any questions. Service is fast and food is always fresh. Quite possibly the best tasting Mexican food I have ever eaten!

If you’re looking for Mexican, this is the spot. In fact it’s so good that I ate here for dinner and had to come back the next day for lunch before I left town. The supreme quesadilla was second to none and the fajitas were bomb. Literally some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had. Atmosphere feels fast foodie, but food is better than the nice restaurants. Prices are fair too!

Great food, friendly staff, prices are high, but it’s consistent with the area. really good and lots of salsa choices. Got the steak burrito, they had chicken, pastor, chorizo, carnitas choices as well. Got the burrito special, came with rice and beans shown here all for 18 bucks. Overall good food, just pricey.

Got just about every meat taco on taco Tuesday. Killer deal and the meats were superb! Have a salsa bar with all the toppings so you can make up to your liking… Would be good to have a take out option where things are added for you. Not a big deal though. Will definitely be back!

I highly recommend El Zarpe to anyone in the Mackinaw City area! It’s definitely a hidden gem that is not well known yet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I really liked how they had a topping bar that customers could put on their own taco toppings. The steak taco was the best I have ever had!

Struck gold with this place! Ate here twice on our trip to mackinaw and it was amazing both times! The tacos are very cheap at $4.50 each and the toppings bar was very good!

Absolutely incredible food! Definitely some of the best Mexican food I have had and I lived in New Mexico for a while. They have a topping bar which is great because you can load it up any way you like. They make all the salsas in house.

The food is fantastic and the fact you are able grab every topping you want is amazing. I definitely recommend if you want a great atmosphere with the option to top your tacos to your hearts desire. They have chorizo too!
