At our Auburn, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Staff is friendly. They have good fry cooks on staff whenever I go there, food not greasy as it is at other Captain D’s. I would have given 5 stars if fountain drink dispenser where one could access for refills instead of having to go back and bother the counter staff when busy.

me my dad and his friend wanted to eat there tonight (1-5-23). we were waiting around 30 minutes for them to even get the food for the first car in line which was 1 car in front of us. AFTER we ordered the food which took a long time to. the line was backed up far. good food but bad service.

The food was hot and very delicious. I would say service needs some work. Order was placed before arriving at the window only to be asked 3 more times. The order was incorrect and the manager had to straighten it out. When this happens the wait becomes longer for all the customers. Drive thru is not always the best solution at this establishment.
