It was breakfast and we wanted lunch, the server said they only had breakfast but the owner came out and said they could do whatever we wanted. It was delicious and we will be going back.

Excellent food, great prices! It’s a TexMex restaurant. Friendly staff too! Sylvia, the owner told me how she hired her Sister to decorate for Christmas after I commented how adorable her restaurant is. Stop in to see the Christmas decorations, have a bite, make a new friend. We had a delicioso desauno. $42 for 4 breakfasts, 2 ojs, and 3 coffee’s!!

We were there as a Jeep club for their annual watermelon festival and parade. Only about 12 of us were there for lunch, but they were able to accommodate us by pushing some tables together. The server quickly had chips and salsa on the table, took our drink order, turned it in, came right back for our food order, and got it turned in. Everyone was enjoying the conversation time, talking about trips we’ve taken, trips we’re going to take, just enjoying our time together. Didn’t seem like very long at all before we had our food sitting in front of us. And believe me, they were busy. With the crowd coming from the parade, it being Saturday lunchtime, they had it together. Very organized, the kitchen was putting out the plates, the service was getting the plates to the tables, and the food was excellent. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff, good food, good company, what more could you ask for.

We love Sylvia’s and highly recommend the drive thru! Breakfast tacos are so good, tortilla is awesome. But the enchilada’s for lunch are to die for!

The food is always consistent! The service is usually fantastic. Occasionally, it’s slow, but that’s due to how busy they are. We try and hit it before the rush. The staff is very friendly, and they greet us with a smile. When we don’t feel like going into San Antonio, it’s Sylvia’s Mexican restaurant for us.

New Year’s Day and most restaurants are closed. I called around to find this place open which I decided to drive 20 miles for some menudo. I waited five minutes for the lady to tell me I had to order inside because drive thru window was closed! Would of been nice if you close your drive thru put a sign that it’s closed! I ordered 5 menudos with the same last at the window which wasn’t nice at all. She did tell me she was short staffed and that’s why drive thru was closed. Ok, you know you short staffed but don’t make a sign for your window. Well I was fine with it because I got my menudo, that’s why I leave a one star. I wouldn’t recommend this place for menudo unless all you want is juice and pozol with lots of bones! I literally counted 5 pieces of menudo. All I can say is I’m definitely not used to this when I get menudo from my hometown with no bones at all! Yes! I’m not from this area at all! Pictures show the truth! This is all the bones from one cup! If you don’t have menudo just say you ran out when you get called to check if you still have some.

Small town dinning at it’s best. Sylvia’s is my favorite place to pop in for breakfast on Sundays before Church.

We were headed down to Padre Island from Austin. We had an early start so by the time we reach Stockdale we were hungry and had to go to the bathroom..:) While I was waiting for my friend I ordered to tacos to go. To my surprise they had them made up and in a bag at the register. The place was really clean and it seemed to be real popular with the locals. And, for good reason, the tacos were really good. The tortillas were handmade and tasted great by themselves. I’m betting the rest of the food is just as good. Don’t know when I’ll ever be in Stockdale again, but if I am, for sure I’ll stop by Sylvia’s
