At our Cornelia, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
Fast-food chain serving fried fish & shrimp combo meals along with gumbo & funnel cakes. Based on 958 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price $

Food has always been good considering we live in the mountains and far from any true fresh seafood. Unlike many fast food restaurants that serve fried foods, Captain D’s food has individual tastes for each item. (meaning everything does not taste like fish) Shrimp taste like shrimp should, claims taste like claims, hush puppies taste hush puppies ect… The price is a little high, but when you consider your getting seafood and not a burger it is reasonable. I recommend Captain D’s to everyone who is looking for seafood in our area.

I haven’t been to Captain D’s in many, many years. This location was surprisingly good! The staff was friendly and professional. I had the salmon and the rolls are totally evil. So good!! Will be back next time I’m in town!

Sadly this was one of the last decent fast food chains open in Cornelia but sadly it has turned to garbage as well. Going to get a lot harder for these fast food chains to continue to keep the doors open without better service. I understand it’s hard to find decent workers these days but these establishments need to figure something out if they want to keep the doors open. I’ll never be back to a captain D’s that’s owned by those Franchise owner again.

Absolute worst service. Highly don’t recommend this franchise location. Hispanic girl with the long fingernails is extremely rude to customers and demands thank you after practically slinging my food to me and acting like I hurt her nails. I had to grip my bag of food if felt like she was going to drop it. But I don’t thank someone who has an attitude like her. You picked a service job. You’re supposed to be friendly and courteous not rude and demanding. If you hate your job then quit and get a different job. You should be thinking me not the other way around if it wasn’t for paying customers you wouldn’t get a pay check

Best Captain D’s we’ve been to in a long time. Service was great but there was a manager/assistant-manager that was very mean-rude to the workers.
