At our Waycross, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This was the 1st time I’ve been here, and I can’t believe what I’ve been missing. The customer service was amazing, the food was cooked fresh to order, and it was delivered to the table hot and delicious. I highly recommend Captain D’s if you’re looking for a quick bite or a casual family dinner out. The dining area is clean, new, or updated with ample seating and easy access to condiments.

I Love Captain D’s with a passion. My favorite is the Pollock fish. I’m a fan of their hush puppies and okra also. I tried the Gumbo and it tastes great but I think it’s overly priced for the portion they serve especially when there’s not much meat inside it. I won’t order the Gumbo again.

First of all, I usually loveee the food from the captain D’s…the fish usually is cooked to perfection so I’m not sure exactly what happened last night. But I literally ordered a 4 piece fish meal and only ate 1 1/2 fillets because the fish was so undercooked and mushy. You could literally taste the batter was not fried completely I literally almost threw up at the thought of my fish not being cooked. Unfortunately this location in Waycross has lost me as a customer when it comes to their fish. I may purchase sides from there.
