Anyone who has awareness of fine French food will want to rush to Krave Restaurant Francais in Tequesta and savor this gem. It’s the real deal, and worth the trip. Host/owners Delphine and French-trained Chef David have created a very special, “small” yet elegant space (9 tables, immaculate charm) where they serve the highest quality French cuisine, from the initial amuse bouche, through tasty, exceptionally well-prepared appetizers, entrees and desserts. You don’t have to go to France to enjoy this high level of luxury dining–make a reservation at Krave, go there, and treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience which includes, not just the food, but the atmosphere and the ambiance. Friendly, family service. The owners are French, and the food is cooked in the traditional style with slight American flavor adds here and there. The wine is French – and recommended. I loved the lamb, the brie stuffed pasta appetizer, and the apple tartlet may have been perfect – not too sweet with all the right textures and flavors. Plus the chef’s wife will keep you company and help you with the menu! Très Bien!

Small restaurant with 9 tables (2 additional outside) run by Chef Dave and his wife Delphine taking care of the tables. WOW, what a meal. The Krave Salad and Salade du Chef were so fresh and flavorful. Crisp romaine and baby spinach in the Krave salad with fine goat cheese, dried cranberries, diced apple, and a light vinaigrette,it was perfect. The salad du Chef with blue cheese and pear was also crisp and tasty. The halibut filet was cooked perfectly and the creamy saffron sauce delightful. The pork tenderloin also perfect and the Tarragon cream sauce so tasty. Tortelinis au Fromage with brie and sundried tomatoes OMG, how delicious, and the creamy sauce was so exquisite I needed every piece of bread to sop it up so it wouldn’t go to waste. Finally, the Buche de Noel, Christmas cake with butter chocolate cream and crème anglaise is pilgrimage worthy, so moist, so chocolaty, so good. A short but good wine list is available. Super service and meal.
