If you’re craving some good fried chicken, I highly recommend this place. The fried chicken was the highlight of my night, it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the food was what you expect at a buffet: not bad, just okay. All the staff were really nice, and on top of it. If you’re not a buffet person, the burger is GIANT and good too.

Back Home BBQ was Delicious…Super Great Macaroni and Cheese(browned and crispy on top), Hush Puppies, Collard Greens, Ribs, Fried Flounder Fillets, Fried Chicken, Chicken Bog(First time eating this amazing dish), Tea was really flavorful and Apple Crisp with Ice Cream…You have to give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

Good Old Fashioned Southern BBQ Buffet! Great place to bring the family. One of the best buffets I’ve eaten at in a long time! Everything I got was freshly cooked and delicious! Will happily go out of my way to come back to this place next time I’m in the area!

The woman who owns Back Home BBQ and her staff know the meaning of southern hospitality!

The food was decent but most was dry and overcooked. The peach cobbler and the pulled pork were great though. We did come when there wasn’t many people inside so I would give another try on a busy day. Our server was very nice and patient with us as we had a party of 7 with two young kids.

Food was delicious. Everything was good. Low country boil was the special, seasoned perfectly. Reasonable pricing too!

What’s not to love… good ole home cooking with a large variety of fresh hot food ready to go. I love myself a good country buffet. Went in for lunch with my kids and they loved it all as well. Good prices and friendly staff. Check them out for sure…

We were so upset when we had learned Prossers had closed. It was our favorite place to eat breakfast when we came on vacation. Well we learned that it had reopened as Backhome BQQ. A former employee bought the restaurant and opened it with the same cooks! The food is absolutely delicious! We are so happy they have reopened and have ate here everyday! The have the best shrimp gravy, which you can put on EVERYTHING! If you are looking for a great place to eat, then come here. The food is amazing and the people treat you like family!

Almost everything was really hot and fresh tasted really good, especially the biscuits you could tell they were homemade and made with love. The only thing year after year that disappoints is the actual bbq itself. Seemed cold and dry as if leftover and we got there as soon as lunch started. Chicken, fish, shrimp and pork chops all hot and fresh and really good along with the Mac n cheese, greens and sweet potato casserole. The baked Mac n cheese had more flavor this year and that was a nice surprise. Id give it 5 stars easy, but since it’s called Back Home BBQ and that’s the least favorite thing I took a star away. Staff always friendly as usual. Definitely try this place out, you won’t be disappointed. Prices are 9.99 for their weekend breakfast, 11.99 for lunch and 15.99 for dinner. There’s much more on the buffet I didn’t mention. Small buffet, but packs a punch!! One last thing, if you’re looking for dessert that’s not a big part of Back Home bbq. They have a couple of things, but nothing stands out. The peach cobbler was hot and fresh but lacking in flavor. Breakfast buffet is Friday, Sat and Sun 7:30-10.30 and from the taste of those homemade biscuits I bet it’s amazing!

The food was ok. Didn’t seem like homemade to me. It was billed as BBQ- not really. They sat us at a table with a leaking AC unit above us. We advised the waitress and she acknowledged it- saying she could just wipe the table- WHAT? That seems very unhealthy- my husband switched chairs- he should have never been sat there anyway- dripping AC water in your food? Staff seemed pre-occupied with a million things. Did not get a good vibe at all. Will never return or recommend to any of my guests
