My wife and I climbed the stairs at 5 pm. No food. No tables to eat food at. We called earlier and recording said open. We were visiting g oxford and wanted to try it out. The bartenders were apologetic

Bartenders will add more tip than what you write on the receipt. I tipped $2 on a $7 tab and was charged $13.

Rooster’s is under new management and it shows. This place is cleaner than I’ve seen it in years and the bartenders were experienced and quick.

Rooster’s is pretty decent. It’s a normal college bar with live music on the square. The upstairs patio was pretty cool, but the place was pretty crowded and it took a little while to get drinks. The drink specials were alright when we were there and the band was actually really good.

I haven’t been since 2015 but I’m sure it’s the same. It’s an amazing place to go relax and listen to some awesome music. Eat drink relax and listen to the blues in a great establishment what else could you ask for. I highly recommend it

Great large bar with good patio space. Not a place for mixed drinks or craft beer and definitely do not come here expecting to hear any blues music haha. This is a very Ole Miss college-town country bar.

I asked the bartender what the specials were and he told me the happy hour specials without letting me know they were only during certain hours instead of all night. So when I was surprised that my last round rang up twice as expensive as before, the manager utterly didn’t care and rudely just said “SORRY. that’s how it is. nothing I can do about it” This was a weeknight. It wasn’t busy. She could have done *something* to smooth things over. I felt pretty scammed.

Good live music and good drinks. However, this place is almost crowded at night and it is hard to move around without bumping into someone or being bumped into. The place has a balcony that gives a good view of the square and takes you away from the crowds indoors.
