First off i didnt get any help as far as suggestions even after stating this was my first time there so i called a friend to ask what i should get and they suggested ox tails, the oxtails were ok, i also got jerk chicken and that was good, my mac n cheese was so bland i threw it out, and my cabbage had lil to no flavor so i also threw that out also,i spent about 22$so i was pretty disappointed, so all in all i had a so so experience, i might be back but i dont know

My first time going here after all these years. Food was good (could have stood a little more seasoning), service was great!! Will definitely be back

When buying oxtails I’d like to try the food if it doesn’t look well or look like I am used to having it I asked for a sample before I bought a $20 plate there are no samples in the food was horrible and not at temperature! I have been sick all night! Everything was under seasoned and the oxtails were rubbery! The jerk chicken was not good and under seasoned. I do not recommend this place

Great food and service I would give it 5 stars but you have to ask for your cornbread to receive it

We ordered the curry goat, oxtails and peach cobbler. Everything was excellent, including the service. We also… did not make it out of the parking lot it was so good. I will definitely be coming back for seconds.

For this price HECK no!!!Ok look, I love Jamaican food and this right here is not it! This doesn’t taste like no Jamaican food none of it!! The Mac n cheese was burnt and even if it wasn’t burnt it is nasty. The callalo was creamy and not even leafy like that. Like it was finely chopped and had weird ingredients in it. Callalo is supposed to be whole leaves with some salt fish in it or some sort of meat in the callaloo and it was so bland and nasty. The curry chicken didn’t whatsoever taste curry like all and it was very bland. The Hawaiian chicken was pretty much just bbq baked chicken, it was over cooked and dry. I had to put salt and pepper on everything. Overall the food was nasty and I sat in the parking lot trying to give a chance and i see car after car pulling up and either something is wrong with their taste buds or they must be trying this for the first time just like me, but I never will eat here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just nasty and bland bland bland. Also to mention, no Jamaicans or blacks are even cooking the food… some Indian man and a white lady. Oh Lord never again. This isn’t worth the drive I just took 25 min getting here to try it. Nasty. And the oxtails were stewed and didn’t look they were braised at all. Didn’t look good at all.

Place is small, quaint, not a big selection but there is some variety. I got big plate, the pieces of jerk chicken and two sides. Mine was red beans and rice and mac n cheeses with wings. The meat was so tender and juicy, flavored all the way through, no hotsauce needed!!! Red beans and rice on point, had a hard time not finishing (told my sister I would save her some, my mistake) . Mac n cheese was okay, but nothing to brag on. All food, bottle of water and can soda a little over $13…not bad

Everything is cooked well but it doesn’t remind me of Jamaican flavor. The seasoning is too light even for American soul food. I wanted cinnamon and brown sugar on the yams, more cheese on the Mac & cheese and a strong curry, pepper and onion flavor on the oxtail. As someone who grew up in a Jamaican american neighborhood it just doesn’t really taste carribean.

Food was fresh, more pricey than I remembered but expected with the cost of everything going up and it being homemade on the Eastside….no complaints here. For food in the pic + a slice of cornbread and a drink spent $20.10. Had Oxtail, cabbage and sweet potatoes..small or light portion. I’m not sure if dine in is available because I didn’t see anyone in the lobby but everyone was taking their meal to go. I loved the drink as well…sparkling grapefruit. Nice place to try, if you haven’t already .

I will be back tomorrow. I bought 3 different plates. My friend and I enjoyed every bite. I think my favorite is the red snapper. And I got two juices. I plan on getting 5 more. This place is a gem
