LOVE Potbelly’s! Been here for years. Staff and food is great. Never had to wait long. Orders have always been correct. I always get the grilled chicken/cheddar and the chili. Whether it’s drive-thru or inside, never a bad experience. Highly recommend!

I worked for Potbelly for nearly 8 years from a sandwich artist to an Assistant GM, and I have to say, WOW Potbelly, you’ve really let go of standards. I came in today for lunch in between appointments and ordered my Flat Italian. It was nearly 10 minutes until my sandwich was dressed even though there were 4 employees behind the counter and 2 people in front of me when I entered the line. I was skipped in line because the associate called out the wrong sandwich and proceeded to dress the woman behind me first. A generic apology was given with absolutely no true care supporting it. No friendly conversation while waiting to have my sandwich dressed; in fact myself and the woman behind me were both ignored as every employee walked by. 1 associate had airpods in, another with hair falling around her face, deeming the hat entirely useless when it comes to food safety. I purchased BBQ Mesquite chips that were stale. My sandwich was a sloppy mess with the toppings falling out of it and dripping with grease. If I had been a mystery shopper today, this shop would have failed. While I am not naïve to the service industry in desperate need of workers, I believe today’s experience was just carelessness.

This was not a good experience. My husband and I like Potbelly, but the service at this location was awful. Staff was rude and we were made to wait even though there was no one else in the store (3:30 pm on Sunday June 4th). Garbage was overflowing outside – see pic, and tables dirty.

It took a bit for someone to finally greet us with a bad attitude. By the time we got our food it took some time for someone to ring us out too. When we went to go sit down NONE of the tables were clean, I went to the bathroom got some soap and water and just wiped down the table myself. Food was fine though. In the middle of a rush the manager didn’t do anything to help her staff, could’ve been out there cleaning tables or helping them move the line along quicker. When I worked in food service and managed a sandwich shop many years ago, we had to keep an eye on the tables between serving guests to make sure they were always clean. No excuses for poor leadership and laziness. Do better. Service here has gone down severely since they first opened in 2016.

This potbelly’s sucked so much that I thought it was subway. Cheese was supposed to be melted on my veggie melt it was hardly melted “lukewarm”!! Forgot to make another sandwich that I ordered. The staff here is mentally incompetent, Come on it’s sandwiches how do you mess that up! The staff here has the mental capacity of a Walmart greeter!

Disappointing – Kenosha location – When you try to place your order, they interrupt you, talk over you like you are not even talking and then once they get their answer, then they ask you a question for information that you already gave them. They should be LISTENING, not interrupting. Then when I opened my bag – no crackers for the soup, no napkins. Was not happy with my experience.

If you place a mobile order, give them at least an extra 10 minutes. Went in today to pick up my mobile order that was scheduled at 11:39am. I gave them an extra 5 minutes and arrived about 11:45am. They didn’t have my order ready until 12:08pm. About a half hour past the quoted time. All I ordered was 1 ham sandwich. 2nd visit in a row where this has happened. Employees standing around with stacks of tickets that nobody knew what to do with. I’ve given them multiple chances, and will not go back.

What happened to this place? It “used to be” my go-to for soup and sandwiches. I work blocks away from this location. The last two visits have me rethinking that completely. Last time I went I wanted broccoli cheddar soup and they were out. the garbage was literally stacked and overflowing, while two employees were just standing around shooting the breeze. This time I went through the drive-through. The whole outside along the drive-through was full of garbage. The soup was luke warm. And the sandwich?? Well, look at the photo. Need I say more? If you can’t tell what that huge glob is.. It’s mayo. This location used to run like a well oiled machine. It has gone from ship shape to a sinking ship. It reminds me of a Racine McDonald’s now.

DO NOT EAT HERE. DO NOT BRING YOUR FEMALE (Friends, family, etc) here. They allow a predator to continue working here after SA multiple female staff. PLEASE take your money else where as this place doesn’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with allowing this “man” to keep working here.
