Got the brisket platter with mac n cheese to go. Meat had subtle smoke and good flavor. Salt was inconsistent as some bites really needed it yet others had too much. Some parts melted in my mouth while others were slightly chewy. The BBQ sauce tied it all together with lightly pickled onion bringing some needed acidity to the dish. Blueberry cornbread muffin was super moist and perfectly sized. The Mac n cheese was typical, chunky, crusty and cheesy. All in was around $23.

I called to order the brisket platter and specifically asked would it be enough for two people because we were not that hungry. Mind you the menu on here says $13 for a brisket platter but in the photo you will see it’s too small to be considered a platter. I was then told that’s the old price and that the price would be $20. $20 for a small tray of brisket that tastes basic is definitely not worth it. So why is it still online that’s false advertising. I was charged $40 for a little amount of food which you can see in the picture I provided. To make matters worse the so-called “signature sauce” tastes like pure ketchup. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place because for $40 I could have gotten way more food and better tasting food at that.

Everything here is delicious. The hardest part is deciding what to get on the menu but regardless you will not be disappointed. The chef really does his thing, and the front worker was super polite and friendly assisting us to making the perfect food choices.

I order lemon pepper wings, Mac & cheese, & the sweet potato soufflé all very good..but the collard greens..the collard greens were the star of the show! I’ve never had greens taste so good. Thoroughly impressed!

TODAY was my 1st time…..EVERYTHING was A-MAZ-ZING! Portions were a little smaller than I expected…BUT that didn’t matter when my tastebuds cheered!!!! I don’t normally enjoy Mac outside, but this thing tasted like mine!!! The Cornbread was delicious. The Brisket was smoked, tender & decadent . The ribs were juicy & the wings were yummy. Please go PATRONIZE. Our folks ate DOING IT WELL

You get what you pay for, the food is pricey $$$$ but it’s worth every penny. My colleagues and I order from this place for lunch atleast twice within the past 30 days. The food is seasoned very nicely and it’s cook with care to preserve taste and flavor. I personally recommend the street corn and the Mac and cheese. Bring your wallet but definitely try this out again it’s worth it.

Ordered from Uber Eats and purchased the honey glazed salmon with kale and fries. The salmon was okay, nothing extraordinary or mouth watering. I barely tasted the honey glaze, which was disappointing but other than that the food tasted fresh. The muffin was so fluffy and delicious. Would order from here again.

Not worth the price for the food, portion or quality. It is very misleading. The half pound of BBQ ribs are 3 pieces…You can pay the same for a platter at Applebee’s and have more of a portion size and quality. To top of off, my order was incorrect and they were very reluctant to provide a refund for missing food. I love to support black owned businesses but this is definitely a pass.

Walked in greeted by the sister. She says best brisket in nj. I proceed to roll my eyes like yeah fkn right. No B.S. the best fkn brisket in NJ. Tender flavor bussin and the official red smoke ring. Bro in the back is getting to it. Sides were also official. I highly recommend supporting them.
