Party of two, and we were seated right away. However, then had to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged and get our order taken. We placed our entire order, including appetizers, immediately when the waitress finally came. We got our meal after 40 minutes only after asking our waitress to check on it—NO appetizers. This used to be our favorite spot to eat in town. This was our second such experience in recent months. However, last time we left without even getting our order taken. We used to have to wait in line to get a table here, but the food and service were well worth it. They were not busy at all this time. Very disappointing, won’t be going back.

I was up in Norfolk to see my ankle neurosurgeon. Decided that I may as well eat somewhere to make the 75 minute drive from home more than another dr. appointment. I wanted some good old fashioned cooking and searching Google this place looked good. Showed up a bit before 11 and people were waiting at the door and in the parking lot. As soon as I walked in I began to see why so many people were excited to get in. The design of the place, the atmosphere, the friendly people working there, and the food was great. Reasonably priced as well. I don’t know Norfolk very well, but this place has to be one of the gems of the town. I wish it was closer to me!
