If I could give a 0 I would. The place is dark and dirty. The food we were given was rotten. The beans tasted like they had been in the pot for a week and burnt. The cheese on the enchiladas was sour and and spoiled. The only flavor my soup had was from the lime I squeezed in it. We paid and left without eating. I know what authentic food should taste like and this can’t even be called food.

The establishment was clean. Plenty of parking & not busy. The food cam quickly & hot. Made fresh. The enchiladas were good & presented well. Lil light on rice portion. The chips were goid & the salsa was a lil thin but good flavor wth a pinch of salt n hot sauce. The Salvadoran tamales were good. For 10$ lunch or dinner… going back…

I had the Bistek Encebollado and my dining partner had the Tortas Augadas and we also ordered some Chicken Tamales (we had a good amount of leftovers). Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and we will be going back again!

Izalco is always be a great time saver for me. I get my Mexican bbq, menudo, and Salvadoran popusas on Saturday morning and don’t have to cook the rest of the weekend. They have reasonable prices and friendly service. It’s always a great idea to call in your order before going.
