Gualberto’s Taco Shop is one of the hidden gems. Without a doubt authentic superb Mexican Food at it’s best! To be honest never drove down Imperial Ave because I did not have a reason too. Always went to Cotija Taco Shop in Lemon Grove on Broadway. I find a great taco shop become loyal do not eat or try other places. Until one day my uncle had a taste for taco’s and came to his favorite place Gualberto’s asked would I like something off the menu “no” I’m good,so he bought me a mini Tijuana taco- let’s just say damn!

I love love love this taco shop. Chano the owner and cook is the best. Friendly, fast, and you get good size servings. Sometimes its packed because he does a great job. Definitely worth the wait.

Gualbertos #3 Taco Shop makes the best breakfast burritos I have ever tasted, and I have lived in San Diego/Chula Vista & Tijuana for over 25 years. Absolutely delicious and you can feed 2 people with one burrito.

I just got a carne asada burrito and a carniasata taco Along with a quesadilla. The only thing that tasted decent was the quesadilla. I haven’t had decent Mexican food for 2 1/2 years because I was in the south. I don’t what else to say other than disgusting!!!!! Disgusting!!! Disgusting!!!!
