Spacious place with a chill vibe and fun games. They have mini golf, Jenga, Connect-4, Foosball, and darts. They also have a tv screen on one side. The staff were super nice. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and they agreed to hide her cake for us and bring it out after we finished our meals.

We had a great time here this weekend with friends for my husbands birthday!! The food was good, the drinks were generous, and the atmosphere was fun. The wait staff really made our experience unforgettable—they were kind, funny, and took such great care of us! Even the manager was so sweet and came out to say hi and wish my partner happy birthday. We really enjoyed having some drinks and playing mini golf. The space is great for large groups and would be great for bringing kids. We will definitely be back for another gathering or celebration soon!

Love the inside and their drinks were delicious (I like my drinks sweet) so this place was perfect. I was here for my friend’s rehearsal dinner and we sat in the private area. I will def come back next time we are in Iowa City!

Fun and unique little bar restaurant with love music. Food is basic, but okay. I think the allure of the place is the funky wide open atmosphere, with board and yard games (someone was playing yard Jenga), the mini golf and live music (although the acoustics of the space aren’t great).

As Laura, the Bride to be, entered with the twelve of us to celebrate her upcoming wedding we were met in the parking lot by a kind gentleman offering to help us with parking. His smile offered genuine joy and we thanked him and introduced ourselves. Kareem, it turned out, is the owner of the Blue Tavern and as the night proceeded Laura was showered with attention, special gifts, and a beautiful attention to detail dessert. Kareem’s obvious care and passion for his business shone through in his smile and laughter and made tonight a night to forever remember. The atmosphere and vibe is absolutely chill yet exciting and the food and service is beyond any patrons expectations! Thank you Kareem and staff for blessing a very deserving bride to be. This will now always be our “home” place when we swing into town!

If you are hungry its not the place to go to….Even though the food looked good online never got the chance to try…after waiting 1hr to be seated..then waited another 30mins for a waiter to even come to the table..And that was only because we had to ask for a server..only to be told that we may not get food for another 1hr..Left after that..

We went here on a Saturday afternoon before a night Hawkeye football game. We ordered pretzel bites and spinach dip, with beer. The food was good, pretty standard bar appetizers. It seemed like the food is either prepared before hand or shipped in premade and frozen as our spinach dip was a bit watery like it had just been thawed. It was still pretty good though. The wait staff was nice and helpful. The place was nice, clean and easily navigated. We did meet the owner who came up to talk with us as we were sitting at the bar eating and drinking. He was very nice and pleasant. The place itself looks like fun as they have jet skis as benches and mini golf through boats and other games and things to do. This is a great place to bring kids.
