I have read alot of these reviews and some people are just miserable! Its not often our entire family goes out and EVERY SINGLE FAMILY MEMBER HAS NO COMPLAINTS! YES we were served kinda slowly with the food but when everything is made completely fresh to order including the salsa and chips and make sure you order a dish of the queso cheese which makes the chips amazing and we also were a party of 11 you can’t expect them to just let your plates sit in a window for all to be done because then all you miserable people are gonna complain your food is old or cold. This was some of the most refreshing excellent drinks and Mexican food we have had in a long time. If you have never worked in food service please don’t complain about food taking a few extra mins to come out unless u want undercooked or reheated food to meet your time expectations! It wasn’t like it was hours of waiting for food! When we went it was fairly a new place and we definitely will be coming back again soon! Ty again to all the staff that took a big party late instead of turning us away when it was almost closing time and giving my family an amazing quality of food that everyone including the 10month old baby enjoyed! And oh please try the strawberry beeraritas! The best! See you folks again very soon and I’ll post another review with more photos and I’ll make sure they aren’t half eaten food or drinks….lol! Ty again for your great hospitality and very fresh food!

Food was okay, not the best, but the atmosphere makes up for it. The people that work there are very nice. Service was a little slow, but not the end of the world. They play great music and sometimes have latin dancing on Saturdays.

Came here last Friday for the first time with some family from out of town and totally regretted it. The waitress was nice we got our food in a timely manner. The food and drinks are definitely over priced.. I got steak fajitas and it lacked any flavor it was bland and the rice looked like Chinese fried rice. I didn’t finish my food and took it home when I received the bill I was surprised on the tax. In Waterbury CT the tax is 6.5… they upcharged 7.5%!!!. I didn’t want to make a stink about it and I paid my bill and still left a tip. I shouldn’t have since they wanted to charge extra. My family member recently told me that they were charged an extra 10 dollars to their card when they never put 10 dollars for tip. Unfortunately my family left the tip section empty so the waitress must have put 10.00 in the section because he left no tip!! Would never go here again and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.

Just discovered this place. Reliably good food, great service, great options for beer/bar. So far I’ve tried a few taco options, enchiladas, a torta, etc. And I’ve loved it all. The staff we’ve met has been super friendly and accommodating. Very happy we gave them a try!

El Don Quijote doesn’t disappoint. The restaurant has a huge bar on one side and restaurant on the other. The menu has many different options of salads, appetizers, burritos , tacos and more. They even have birria tacos on the menu! This time around I had a taco bowl with steak and chicken. It was delicious and flavorful. The crispy taco shell had a light crispy flavorful crunch. The steak in the salad was juicy and had a mouth watering flavor.

Shrimp was cooked perfectly , rice actually had great flavor . Margaritas were good . Best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in CT by far . Oh yea and they have BIRRIA tacos ! Real ones! Our server Ishmael was very nice
