I visited Schnitz for the first time. The food was very good and I ordered ‘The Ginny’ vegetarian fried rice dish off the daily menu. The rice was deeply spiced and excellent. The deep dried cauliflower with chili sauce was what I was looking for. The decor is nice and is a step up from casual dining for dinner. The wait staff was pleasant and we met Chef Chris who checked in on us.

Schnitz food never disappoints – awesome sandwiches! Friendly wait staff and hostesses – very casual and easy to talk and joke with. The setting can be a bit loud but mostly from the architecture/design since it’s the warehouse-type open ceiling and wooden floors, but if you like that vibe the Schnitz does it VERY well.

Had a fabulous dinner there on Friday. The halibut special with risotto would rival any five star restaurant in GR! The fish was perfectly prepared and the the risotto had outstanding flavor. The fish and chips was also superb. Light and flaky fish in a light batter served with French fries and an excellent coleslaw with an oil and vinegar dressing. Our server was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back! While it is a casual restaurant the food is above and beyond what your would expect.

We really enjoyed our meals and our server was so pleasant and attentive. We got wings and chips and salsa for appetizers, fish and chips, the Brooklyn Reuben and a burger for our meals..all of which were simply fantastic!! We love coming to Schnitz of Ada and it’s always great!
