The food was excellent. The atmosphere was fun and entertaining. The service could have been better, but they were obviously understaffed, and they did very well despite that. And the prices won’t kill your wallet. We hot a lot of food for what we paid, and it was all, very yummy!

The service was good. It was quite slow when we went, but the staff was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, as was the theming. A decent amount of detail was put into the decor. The food was good. It was fresh too, though some items could have been a little hotter, as in the cheese inside the cheese enchiladas wasn’t even fully melted, but all the other dishes were at the right temperature. This isn’t fully authentic Mexican, some of the dishes and preparations were not fully traditional, but definitely much more so than most other “Mexican” places. Their Tequila options were a bit lacking, but it’s primarily a restaurant not a bar, so not really an issue. They do not serve Flan, which is disappointing. Overall it was a good experience.

My wife and I were at the cinepolis movie theater in Posner Park and decided to try Dos Panza for her birthday dinner. There’s a cute photo opportunity out front where there are face holes so you can peek through and look like mariachis. Jesus, one of the staff members came outside to take the photo for us. Once inside the vividly decorated dining room, we sat down and were immediately brought chips and salsa. Our waitress Marianna was super friendly and made great suggestions. My wife got a cucumber grapefruit margarita. It was very tasty but the actual drink was small, especially considering a large grapefruit wedge was included in the small glass. I had a michelada with a tamarind covered straw which was a nice touch. We ordered chorizo queso dip which was very tasty but a bit oily. I ordered the duck meat tacos on soft flour tortillas. They also offered soft corn or crunchy corn shells. My wife got the steak quesadillas. Everything tasted fresh and all the trimmings were tasty and fresh as well. Tomatoes, onions, lettuce, cilantro, sour cream, and a variety of salsas from mild to hot. There was nothing wrong with the meal or the service. I was a little surprised when the bill came and it was $70. But I do understand that it’s a tourist area near Disney just off of i-4 in a retail shopping outlet. I’m sure the rental rates in the plaza are high. I’m not saying I wouldn’t go back again but it wouldn’t be a restaurant I would go to all the time due to the cost.

I had an amazing time at Dos Panza! The service was impeccable, and the food was simply outstanding. If you’re tired of the mundane chain restaurants, take a break and head to this Cantina for a night out. The menu had plenty of new dishes to try, and every single one looks delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they were happy to describe each dish in detail. The portions were quite generous, and I highly recommend trying the DS panza burrito- it was amazing! The prices were very reasonable, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
