I really like this place. Been going there for a few years now. Get treated very well. Put in new gas pumps and remodeled the convenience store. Some of the outside and working on the inside. Great outside bar and seating area in the back. Great owner good bartenders and good view of the river.

Went tubing here for the first time in August 2017. Having rafted the Wolf river for years, we were looking for something more relaxing the next day. This was it. We had a great time. I don’t think there an area where our feet couldn’t touch the bottom. The rapids were fun, but you can get stuck on or behind rocks. I did get flipped out once or twice and could barely get back in because I was laughing so hard. Plan on bringing our kids next summer!

We stopped on our bikes, after enjoying the fall colors, heading south on 55. It was a great place for food and fun atmosphere. Will definitely make it a stop again when we are cruising Hwy 55.

Don’t go tubing. One tube went flat with another one deflating. Did more walking then actual tubing because the water was so low. Bruised my wrist and banged up my legs and hips going through the dangerous rapids. This was a very dangerous and exhausting experience. Complained to the management and they did nothing and ridiculed members of the group behind our backs. This is a complete safety hazard and you can end up getting seriously hurt. Do not waste your time or risk your safety.

Wife and myself are new to the area and stopped in for a drink after dinner. Went to an open corner of the bar and waited for the bartender to come greet us. She came over and asked what we would like to have. When I asked what she had on tap she responded with a very snotty attitude, ” We only have specialty beers”. I told her that’s what I like and asked her to tell me what they were since I could not read them from where I was. She acted completely annoyed that I asked her to do her job. She read them off facing away from me in a loud bar and I said I could not hear her but she ignored me after I told her I could not hear her. Luckily I heard one word “Porter” and said i will have that. The guy next to me had one and said it was good. After she served us she never returned and ignored us. Needless to say we left after one drink. We will not return here, there are plenty of other friendly bars with friendly bartenders in the area.

Tubing trip was really good. Don’t bring alot with you because the rapids can be rough. After we got food. Guys didn’t have change and couldn’t cook curds long enough.
