I stopped by this place on its first day open July 30th. What a treat. Having spent much time at the shore, this was honestly the cleanest tasting, best lobster roll I have ever had! Salted butter and fresh warm lobster, you really cannot beat it!

Stick with hot dogs and burgers – the lobster roll is short on meat, not fresh and over salted. Also, ratio is all wrong – they give you 1/3 lobster and 2/3 roll – should be the opposite!

What an unassuming lunch! When we first got the lobster roll platter we did not think it would fill us up. We were wrong . Not only did the lobster platter fill us up, it was delicious!!! Joe is a kind gregarious man who knows his lobster . Really enjoyed our lunch. Son also got the shrimp basket which he really enjoyed! Thanks so much Joe!

I enjoyed their cheeseburger with hand cut fries, came out fresh and delicious. My girlfriend got the shrimp basket, said it was delicious but lacking for the price. You only get a handful of shrimp and no sides or drink included with it. I’ll definitely stop by again for a burger but we will be skipping the seafood until it becomes a little more cost effective.

I ate at Joes home Cookin the other day and I was very impressed with the food and the service you receive there. My wife had the lobster platter and I got the clam roll. The platter was enough fries for us both to share and the clam roll was completely stuffed full of fresh clams. My wife is still raving about how amazing that lobster roll was. We will definitely be back soon and recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for great seafood at a reasonable price.

We were very disappointed considering what we paid. $12 for a lobster roll that was basically a hot dog bun with an ungenerous portion of lobster. My wife was excited when we stopped in, as she loves lobster rolls, then she felt bad that we spent $12 on about 3 or 4 bites of what was mostly bread. Mark LoGiurato’s review here is spot on with the ratio…1/3 lobster and 2/3 roll and even that might be a little generous of a description. I had the fried haddock, which was good but still over priced for what you get. I hate leaving reviews like this, because the food was good, but man is it overpriced…especially that lobster roll on a hot dog bun.

Awesome food and great atmosphere. I don’t usually post these types of things but I was so impressed I just had to. I have been to the lobster shack a handful of times now and I have a better experience everytime. It never disappoints. I usually get the lobster roll but have also tried the haddock, the clams, and the lobster Bisque. You can tell Joe puts his heart and soul into this restaurant and it shows in his food.

Ordered two lobster roll platters. Everything was delicious. The home cut fries were amazing. Ate at picnic table there. Clean and serene Vermont countryside.

Great little off road spot. Seafood was very good. Freshen cut fries. Offer burgers dogs aswell. Seafood prices a little steep. $14 for haddock sandwich/boat, $17 for platter. Good amount of fish though. Quick service, outside seating. Very friendly.
