Established in 1965, Mr. Smith’s is located in the heart of the historic district. We are a proud 100% Minority-owned business. Our place provides beautiful views of the Potomac River during the day, and an illuminated Kennedy Center at night. And we have live Piano Bar entertainment on weekends.
Our new outdoor streatery is the perfect place to enjoy one of our famous burgers & chicken wings, or our daily happy hour specials. We also offer a full menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, steaks, pastas and seafood entrees, as well as our weekend brunch menu.
Great food at reasonable prices, served in a casual atmosphere, and with excellent service, has made us a favorite Georgetown restaurant for nearly 60 years.

I had breakfast here and their portions are so big I couldn’t finish it. The omelet was so amazing. I also like the atmosphere. The service was so nice and fast

If you’re in Washington DC you MUST visit this bar! Great bar and attentive staff who know what they’re doing! We had such a brilliant evening on arriving in the US. Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays and we got things moving! Sat at bar and came back next day for a couple of beers. This needs to be on everyone’s list for Washington bars.

Popped in for Burger and Fries. Delicious Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. Nice bar area. Not too crowded for a Saturday Lunch. Near the water.

Mr Smiths has great interior and old world tavern feel to it with plenty of TVs for watching sports. The service here was great and very attentive. The menu had plenty of options for all ages. I ordered the steak and cheese with fries. The flavor on the sandwich was really good and the cheese was nice and melted. The fries were really well done and came out nice and hot. I had wished the roll on the sandwich was a bit more sturdy. All in all it was a great experience in Georgetown and Mr Smiths was part of that.

First time there. But with my daughter going to American University I expect to be there more often. Food and service are very good food took a little bit because there was a party in about 35 going on at the same time. A hidden delight on the menu, very good steak fries. Not really advertised but saw a photo online. Value is good for the food, service, and atmosphere which is that of a good old-fashioned pub.

Cool tavern look, especially the central staircase. Food wasn’t so good, but better brunch places in the area are full without planning more than a few days ahead. Service was good for 1 very nice person who was the host and the only waiter and bartender. Clean bathroom.

Good place to eat, not so high price. Brunch from 11 a.m till 3 p.m. – for 16 $ champagne is bottomless. But they include 17% of tips in receipt.

Sat outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed a few $5 cocktail specials. Most were well made but the rum and coke was definitely lite on the rum side. Saying that all the other drinks were well made and tasty.
