The staff is always friendly and quick with their service. Have never had a bad experience here. We go a little to often than we would like to admit, but it’s because of the great preparation and atmosphere we experience every single time. Even on busy Sunday mornings, we never have felt a lack of care. Love this establishment!

The pancakes are great, (of course) but I feel like some other menu items are over priced. The service is decent but don’t go when their busy! No elbow room, cramped and you’ll be lucky to get the food the way you ordered it.

The wood river location is way better than the Alton location hands down. Great place to eat at 2 am. Service has always been great. Clean but pretty cozy, definitely not the biggest location.

Great food, good service, terrible check splitting. We have been here four consecutive Sundays and three checks have never been split correctly and easily. We’ve even offered to order on separate checks. Such a shame because our group really enjoys it.

The worst experience I’ve ever had eating out. There was a dead fly in my chocolate milk, and our waitress was nowhere to be found. The manager was walking around checking on customers, and came by our table to ask how everything was. I told her about my milk, and she said “oh would u like another one?” And, appalled, I said “yes please”. She brings me another glass and I say, “thank you” and she replied “you’re very welcome” and walked away. No apology, not any kind of reaction whatsoever to there being a dead bug in my drink. Have never returned since. This was a few years ago.

The reviews don’t lie, it’s worth the little extra drive to this IHOP! Woodriver is by far the best for service, wait time, food and atmosphere. Super friendly and attentive, didn’t wait but maybe 15 minutes for our, very delicious food, and very clean and relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back, forever!
