Stopped on a Sunday afternoon to find this family-owned diner relatively quiet with only a handful of people inside. Interior is dated with water stained ceiling tiles, torn booth seats and a taped broken glass front entrance door. Place was overall clean, but could definitely use some TLC and updates. Menu offers an extensive selection of classic New York Diner food for breakfast and lunch, with made from scratch ingredients and family generational recipes. Our order was the Mediterranean Panini with grilled chicken breast, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella and a side of sauce of your choice. Was disappointed that it wasn’t the traditional Italian bread like Focaccia or Ciabatta with its grilled toasted texture and grill marks from being pressed. Instead, pita bread that was cooked on a grill. Had more of quesadilla look and feel to it. A good amount of chicken and flavor on the inside and fries were crispy and plentiful. Service was friendly, efficient and prices doable.

This place was absolutely disgusting. The sever we had was nasty BEFORE we even sat down, never came to check up on us, the other server had to grab something for us, check never came to the table so we had to go upfront for it, as I was looking at the check I did have a few questions about it and the sever got nasty right from the start. As a waitress myself I could handle that whole floor by myself. Absolutely no reason for her to use the excuse “we’re busy idk what to tell you”. I will never return. Owner needs to check his/her servers. Bad for business. The potatoes were gross. Tea was gross. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Never again will I eat here the waitress smells like alcohol which is OK as long as everything is good nothing was good the eggs tasted like they were on the grill that has not been cleaned for years to potatoes were absolutely disgusting the biscuits taste like they’ve been there for weeks the pancake was I don’t know is more like a tortilla it took almost a half hour to get my breakfast it costed almost $30 when I looked at the receipt I could tell that she was trying to rip me off thinking she would get a better tip if she jacked my price up reluctantly I gave her one dollar most of my breakfast was inedible I guess they are here to rip off tourists I don’t know I normally eat other places but here but I decided to try it todayNever again never again

This is the first time I’ve dined here in a few years and I’m sad. NY Diner used to have great food. My kid ordered the combo appetizer because it has 2 of her favorite foods in it. The mushrooms were burnt & the cheese sticks were gross. The chicken fingers were the highlight of the meal. My freezer burnt country fried steak was not good at all & no amount of gravy could save it. Couple that with runny grits & eggs. I also can’t believe extra gravy was extra money which the waitress never said. We always order our drinks in go cups but it took me asking 3 times to get the cups. Manager/owner didn’t even ask how it was as we were leaving. I do not recommend this place but it used to be great!

Haven’t been there in years but just stopped in for a quick lunch. It was very slow, 2 other customers. I ordered a very simple dish and it was awful. Fried mushrooms were a black squishy mess, chicken strip were tough to chew with batter that slid off and tasted like rancid oil, Mozzarella sticks were barely edible.
