We were here on a Friday afternoon for lunch around 12.30 – 1. They had the lunch buffet with tiffin and lunch items. Mini soft idlis with sambar tasted very nice. Chutney was fresh. Pongal was empty so couldn’t get to taste it. Kuzhi paniyaram was the star of the show. Crispy on the outside and soft and porous inside.

Food was good and feels like it’s home cooked. You know it has to be at least decent when most of the clientele looks Indian and cooks are Indian. If you like vegetarian Indian food then you will not be disappointed. If you’re new to Indian food, not recommended for kids because even the “non” spicy foods are spicey for most American palates.;-)

Had a late night, so I wasn’t able to make my lunch for work. Found Rudras through DoorDash! It’s delicious! And flavorfully spicy. The palak paneer is warming and comforting but still bright and fresh. The jeera rice is the perfect compliment, not as spicy as the palak paneer but just as savory with the spices toasted in. I did order a masala dosa and received an order of aloo masala. (But that worked perfectly anyway. Was debating between the two and curious how theyd package a dosa for shipping.) The aloo masala is savory but a touch sweet from the red onions. Already planning my next meal!

I bought Rudra food’s mysore pak from one of the grocery stores in Sugarland. When I took a bite, I realized it was compressed boondi with a cover of mysore pak. I am disappointed with this kind of cheating. They could have sold boondi as it is and labeled it the same.

Went to the place super late. They were closed 5 minutes before we reached there. The owner/lady was so kind that she said that she could fix something if we could wait for 15 minutes. We waited for 10 minutes and got a really good meal. We ate some and took some. Good price and even better people. Thank you lady, you’ve earned a loyal customer.
