Nice stop at the end of the Kern River bike trail. After 15 miles of peddling, I was ready for a snack and refreshments. Great service and good food. I had the Bison burger and fries with a tall Iced tea (free refills) for just under $20.

My wife and I drove to Bakersfield to ride our bikes on the Kern River Bike Trail. The trail passes near the Old Corral Cafe and so we drove there and asked if we could park our car there and begin our ride there and head west into Bakersfield. They were very nice and said no problem parking there . I didn’t catch the nice lady’s name, but she was coming in before the restaurant opened and I caught her in the parking lot. She was super nice and said to come in for lunch when we returned! Unfortunately, we finished our ride and got back to the cafe before they opened at 11am. We’ll make a special stop there next time we’re in town. Thank you Old Corral Cafe!

Food is always good. I wanted to try their fish. It was crispy and served with your favorite fries and coleslaw. Very filling. I topped off with nice big ice tea. I had brought my dog and we sat on the patio. Very relaxing to see the rolling mountains and clouds. Horses to see after and walked out to see them. Nice quiet Friday afternoon and we got lots of attention. We will be back
