This was my first time at The Java shop, I picked up both hot and cold coffee for the office. Fantastic service from the staff, they helped walk out twelve orders of coffee to my car! I don’t usually drink coffee, but people flipped over the “whipped coffee” (not sure if that’s what it’s called). There is plenty of room and tables to meet up with people, but I wouldn’t say the setup in the shop is it’s strength. Don’t get me wrong, still had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Food is excellent. Had an omelet with peppers, onions, mushrooms and bacon and it was great. Cooked well and not burnt. The home fries were seasoned and delicious. A great place to eat if your in the area.

There’s not many choices for good breakfast when visiting Herkimer but this is a great place to stop for a delicious breakfast sandwich or omelette. Coffee was also very good and prices were fair. I would recommend making some updates, you feel like your walking into an office or dance studio and it’s not a very inviting atmosphere. Overall, a nice place to stop for breakfast in a sad old mining town.

Stopped here with friends for breakfast, everything looks very old and needs renovation. Ordered coffee and a bagel. The bagel was delicious, but instead of coffee, they brought some kind of coffee-like drink.

Our first time visiting this local establishment and let me tell you, this is one of Herkimer’s best kept secrets! I ordered a bubble tea! I wasn’t expecting that to be an option there but was very pleasantly surprised to find it! Lots of delicious flavor options! I also got the breakfast tacos with mushrooms and spinach and it’s obvious that their ingredients are fresh! The salsa added just the right bite! Hubby got a breakfast wrap that was also phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back for lunch one day!
