My grandson was very tired and a little hungry. While waiting for our food, my grandson had gotten real cranky and was crying. The manager came over and gave him a snack to calm him down. I felt that was a very nice thing she did.

If I could give a 0 star I would. Be careful with this Backyard they have a so call Manager who stands outside at football games charging $30 to park, on a dirty folder she wrote on. The parking lot is owned by the hospital across the street. We had to get the cops involved to get our money back and still waited on our smoothie at smoothie king where we was getting our smoothie.. the manager was rude and tried to tell the cop we was trying to jump her. I am a school teacher and this was the most crazy thing I have even seen in my life. I have contacted Corporate of both restaurants and also the hospital who said it was illegal and they will be looking into their actions. I will not stop until she gets fired. She said her district manager to her to go outside and charge people. No ticket or nothing just come up to people taking pictures of licenses plates and tell them they have to pay before they go in the restaurant or she will get the car towed. I will also contact JSU cause she is not affiliated with them as well..

My friend and I visited this location on Saturday, 10/22/22, after leaving Jackson State’s Homecoming game a little early. We stopped here while awaiting our Uber ride and decided to walk in to order fries and a drink. As we were placing our orders, I noticed the young lady taking our orders was being distracted by another coworker, having side conversations with coworkers; that she could not even hear our order. Fine. After placing our orders, we waited in the dining area while our fries were being prepared. After about ten minutes (and yes, it was ten minutes because I was watching my Uber driver enroute to this location), my friend asked the cashier for the wait time for our orders. Our order was prepared shortly after, but we then had to wait a few minutes because she was distracted yet again. Another young lady eventually prepared our to-go orders and we left.

The place is a little run down. I know places tend to do that over time but it’s not clean. Not soap to wash hands with, dead roaches on floor in sight. This place is located directly in front of the hospital so I was really disappointed.

I’m not sure what the name of the sandwich that I had there. It was a grilled chicken sandwich with pineapple on it. OMG! DELICIOUS! They make your order when you place it so it is fresh off the grill. That makes you have a little wait time. Let me tell you after eating that sandwich the wait was well worth it.

If you want some good ole deep fried tires on bun this is your place to stop. The burgers were blacker than me and extra small for the price. Cashier was decent, from what I experienced. It is located in a perfect spot if you’re in the hospital, you won’t lose parking because it’s close enough to walk. Had I known it tasted like that I would’ve risked it all to find a better place to eat. Never again
