Dated restaurant, could use a face-lift and some sprucing up inside. The staff is probably one of the cooler staff, working all hours of the day and night. Popular 24 hr. fast food joint downtown PS is packed during the later hours….nothing else open. The food is alright. It’s better if you have had some alcohol. But hey, we’re lucky to have it!

Castañeda’s mini tortas almost 10 dollars each ♀️… don’t get them the bread came different I guess it’s half the size from last months… called the restaurant so they can let the regulars know the tortas come half the size they use to be but they said there’s nothing they can do just let the Customers know so we have the choice of getting something else than what we expect…tried talking to manager but they couldn’t accept my call

Love this place, best drive thru Mexican food, love the green salsa. You can judge a place by the fluffy rice, creamy beans and tangy salsa.

Went through Casteneda’s drive-thru in Palm Springs on Ramon Rd around 11:30pm 7/31/2023. I odered the #11 which was 2 fish tacos with rice and beans. I got home, and while eating my 2nd taco I felt something sharp pierce my gum while chewing. I spit out my food and there was a piece of serrated metal. It looked like a chipped knife or a jagged razer, thin with many sharp points. I took my food back to show them and ask for a refund, this time deciding to go inside. I parked, got out of my car and saw a rat running along the wall outside while approaching the building. I paid with a card but they gave me a refund in cash. The women (cashier) appolgized but the cook (a man) did not. She offered to remake my food or give me a drink but I declined. I will never go back. I told them had someone swallowed what was in my food it may have been life threatening. I will not be returning and will be telling friends and family to refrain from visiting this place as well.

Who says ground beef isn’t ready? It takes 5 minutes to make. First I order from Uber from them and Uber can’t complete the order for some reason so I decide to drive 5 miles to just order there then they can not make my order. I will never order from them again. Horrible. They obviously don’t need business.

First and last time visitor of this establishment. 5 rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito with a large Dr Pepper came out to almost $19. I came here on a recommendation from a Palm Springs resident. I don’t recommend this place. I ended up throwing up most of my purchases away. Even Del taco would’ve been better than this place.

06/19/2022 @ 21:20pm I went through the drive thru, I ordered mini tacos french fries, 2 LG drinks and a side of rice. When I got home I noticed that the rice was slimy and smelled very spoiled. I took it back only to find out other customers had returned to castenedas in palm springs airport location to return there spoiled rice. The cook in the back not only gave us a hard time about it, was refusing to give us a refund, but denied giving us the manager phone number or name to speak to him. They sell spoiled food, be careful if you buy food there and if you can eat somewhere else. Hope my son doesn’t get food poisoning from the rice.

I am not sure where I just ate. The sign outside, the cup and receipt all said Castaneda’s Mexican food. The wall posters said Santanas. The jukebox said Fatburger. Either way, the food was okay…nothing special. Salsa bar was a mess, mostly out of stuff, no labels, and customers were taking the trays to staff to refill…..the staff had no helpful suggestions on food…everything was good according to them. Meh, that’s it.
