Super busy but we did check in online which helped with the wait. It only took 10 minutes once we got there to get seated. Our waiter Justin was great really attentive and fast. The food tasted great I only had a problem with how many steak fries I got as a side. Just seemed kind of lite for the price. Other then that, I loved the cactus blossom it is one of my favorite appetizers!

Chicken fried steak was actually a chicken fried steak (unlike other places which use ground meat patties, likes Maddox). The rib eye steak was large. Fries were amazing, as always. And the Onion blossom was delicious. Our waitress was super kind and apologetic for the long wait (place was down 4 cooks and 3 other staff!). She remembered to check in on us frequently, and had a cheerful attitude, especially having to work the day after Christmas.

The food is always good at Texas Roadhouse, and this Layton location is no exception. The rolls with cinnamon butter are great. The steaks are great. The ribs are great. My main complaint, and the reason I can’t give it 5 stars, is that they eliminated 90% of their waiting room to make room for their new takeout area. It is really frustrating to me to go to a restaurant that always has a significant number of people waiting, but nowhere to actually wait.

The food was delicious, including their rolls and butter. I recommend their cactus blossom and country fried chicken with creamy gravy. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. It can get loud inside the restaurant, and I don’t like how everything is brought out on different places/bowls, but that’s only because of how much space it all takes up. Their food is great though and that’s what matters.

The restaurant was busy, and took us a while to be seated. Once our turn came, the wait staff were friendly and helpful, getting us seated quickly, and our order was taken. The food arrived at our table hot, within minutes of ordering. The steak I had was one of the better ones I’ve had in a long while. Our only complaint would be the rolls. We had to ask several servers for them, and they didn’t arrive until we were almost finished. Willing to cut them some slack considering how busy they were. When the rolls arrived, they were piping hot and tasty! We will be back I’m sure….

We sporadically took 15 of our family members to the Layton Texas Roadhouse for Grandpas birthday. All 7 of our children, their spouses, and our 4 grandchildren. This location got us in quickly and we had a consistent stream of rolls, drinks, and they were checking on us frequently. With only 30 mins notice they really did a fantastic job of getting us all fed hot food fast keeping our drinks filled and they even sang to Grandpa who was holding grandbabies in the saddle. When we were leaving the manager came and asked if there was anything they could have done better. Just an all around good experience. We often celebrate at this location and will keep going back for sure!!

I have been to Texas Roadhouse in the past but this experience was review worthy. I brought my husband in the day before Father’s Day an hour before closing. We won’t push it any closer to closing time and we’re already feeling guilty about it. Our waiter Dakota was so nice and hospitable he made us feel like there was no issue at all. He was very quick and attentive in helping us get seated quickly, got drink order out and kept the refills on bread and drinks coming. Super friendly and helpful I definitely recommend this Texas Roadhouse and came to this one due to being on the way home to Bountiful. I would make the drive to this location over the Bountiful location. Thank you again Dakota!
