We were lucky enough to stumble on Mississippi’s Finest on our way through Port Gibson. The food was amazing and the people were even better. Mrs P came and sat with us to take our order, and she whipped up a custom salad and served us greens, cornbread, fried chicken and field peas to boot. Tony, our waitress, (hope I have that name and spelling correctly) was so kind and fun to chat with. It felt like eating with family. And the owner came out to speak with us as we were leaving. Again, kind and friendly and left us with a blessing, as he is also a minister 🙂 Would absolutely recommend Mississippi’s Finest if you are looking for food better than your mamma cooked!

This place was nothing but AMAZING!!!! The service was great and the food was AWESOME!!!! Definitely get the fried chicken and mac n cheese!!! The lemonade is really good too. Will definitely go again if ever in the area. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Thanks for the awesome experience!!!!

On a visit to Alcorn College. I was in the bookstore buying some T-shirts and asked for a good place to eat. I was recommended Mississippi Finest and I was not disappointed and neither was my son or my two grandsons. I hope one or both of them choose Alcorn so I can return to Mississippi Finest.
