El Potrillo Mexican Restaurant was established in Moyock on October 11th, 2006 by a couple of guys with a dream and a passion for excellent Mexican food. Since then, we have grown with the community and are thrilled to announce our newest addition in Grandy! We’ve been thrilled at our success, at your support, and to call Currituck County home–we wouldn’t have it any other way. More than anything, we are grateful for you, our guests, who have made all of the hard work more than worthwhile!

I love eating at this place! It is definitely worth the drive from Virginia Beach to Moyock for this restaurant. Every time I’ve been, there’s staff member named Pancho that always recognizes me…might I even suggest we’ve become friends. The food is tasty and there is a menu option for everyone! Fast service and family-oriented environment. Have never had a bad experience here. Try the agua naranja!

The food was really good. Our server was fine. They could reupholster their seats though. They were kind of gross. All torn up and stuff. Your cant really wipe down and clean exposed batting material. That said, I would definitely go back. Really good salsa also.
