Great selection of local craft beers. On Saturday night expect the usual wait time to get seated. Appetizer Pow-Pow Shrimp was properly spicy. So was our Steamed Shrimp (peel & eat), excellent Mac & cheese. Our French Dip sandwich was a miss, though. $15 for a so-so sandwich that could have used a bit more beef for that price. We also had some Tavern Chips: not so much. Over cooked, without salt that potato chips need.

This was our first visit to Hickory Tavern and we will definitely be back! I’m so glad I didn’t pay attention to some of the negative reviews. We had great service from our server Aaron. Our burgers came out quick and were very tasty. Loved being able to get tater tots as an option for our side. The crispy onion straws on my burger were amazing. ♥️

Yesssss! I usually go to Bonefish Grill across the street buy I had to try thia spot. I can definitely dig it. Food was good. I’m always skeptical of bar food. Normally the food is always mediocre and salty. This was like a legit meal. The ambience was nice. My bartender was great. I sat at the bar. I will say they needed more staffing. The bartender was definitely taking care of a lot. Its hard to be mad at the bartender for taking so long when they are working damn near every table in the house.

Smoked gouda macaroni was the best part of this meal! The smothered chicken tasted great and the broccoli was very fresh and flavorful. Went on a Sunday at lunch and it wasn’t packed at all, got seated immediately. Happy with the food and service!

This place seems like a typical sports bar, lots of large TVs, high top tables, noisy environment and so on. However the food is very good and the service was friendly and quick. Try the fish sandwich or the shrimp and grits. They also have a quite a few local beers on tap. It’s also a great place for groups or to meet up with coworkers.
