My husband loved the catfish we asked for it on a hoagie roll – I got pork chop special rice & gravy and mac n cheese – side salad … it was average HOWEVER – the winner was the PULLED PORK NACHOS – they were HUGE and loaded!

My Mother,family friend, and I went to Big Mama’s on April 22nd. Our first time visiting and loved it. Kimberly greeted us with a smile and also served us. We all thought that the food was well seasoned. We were amazed by the portion of food that was giving. Shout out to Jefferson, the cook, for a wonderful meal.The prices were decent. The building is nice and roomy!

Have ate here several times. Waitress is always pleasant and attentive. The best fried oysters and shrimp! Oysters are cooked perfect! Their fried chicken is really good. Their pulled pork nachos are the bomb! I get it as an appetizer every time we come!

Too expensive for amount of food served . Left hungry. You need to put some green peppers and onions on the Philly cheese stake. Dang all of them have it or it’s not a Philly cheeses stake. Also Served on tiny bun. BS Just add some simple food like a hot dog that doesn’t cost as much. Grill cheese then work on your menu items until you eat it yourself and feel like you didn’t get robbed. If not you will be out of business. Don’t try to retire on one customer. Restaurants normally don’t make a profit the first year anyway . Get food from US Food service. They have much better fries. . Gave them another chance today. Seafood platter was great but when they asked what kind of fish we wanted we choose flounder. Waitress did not mention that flounder was an extra charge. As of April 15 the law in the us has changed that credit card processing fee can not be over 3 %. But they still charge 4 % which is against federal law. Slaw was not cold and Mac and cheese for 4 bucks was cold and not good and was afraid to eat it. Waitress forgot about us and we waited 20 minutes before she brought drinks as we were getting ready to leave she brought the drinks so unfortunately we stayed. That was the last time we will go back which is disappointing to say the least. 3 people 80 bucks

The service was good. The shrimp was good. The french fries sucked. My dad’s catfish was ok, my dad didn’t like the French fries either. There is no music playing. They need to put a swinging door of some sort up where they go into the servers station. It is right next to the kitchen.

**READ if you’re a TOURIST looking for good eats** first of all the place ain’t have no cars in the parking lot on a sunday so we shoulda known better… second of all the food was disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! like NOTHING was seasoned… only the fries. i was ready to enjoy my chicken just to be disappointed in the end smh and the waitress said the OWNER made the food

A short drive on Hwy. 701 South into Georgetown County to Big Mama’s Country And Soul. Beautiful restaurant in the inside. The food was great. We started out with a basket of hush puppies that were wonderful. Then we had a flounder basket and a special of smothered turkey wings. Food portion was large and done just right. Finished off the meals with the homemade cherry cobbler. Price was reasonable. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. The owner came spoke with us and he was friendly and professional. We will return.
