This was my first time at Griff’s Restaurant & Sports Lounge. Casual eating spot. You seat yourself. There are pool tables to the right when you come in, a bar straight ahead, a few tables and a few booths on the left of entry. Our server Nicole greeted us promptly and it didn’t take me long to decide on one of the Friday night specials. Great prices. I ordered the fried flounder and shrimp basket with fries. My friend ordered the flounder dinner with two sides (green beans & California mix veggies). The vegetables were seasoned very well and the fries were fresh cut. The flounder was delicious… lightly breaded, moist inside and crispy on the outside. The shrimp was also lightly breaded and crispy. The first thing I noticed was the fried food was not greasy at all. I’ll return to try other menu items.

Ordered 20pc wing, (got lemon pepper & Buffalo)and a order of hand cut fries. I was disappointed in the fries and didn’t eat them. I expected the Buffalo wings to more wet with a sauce. I did taste the wings but didn’t want them but they did not go to waste my boys liked them. I just don’t like breaded wings and they weren’t heavily breaded but they weren’t naked to me. That was my only issue but like I said my boys loved them. I ordered through door dash and put in special instructions and they accommodated everything. Over all I would order from here again and try other items.

The service was horrible.. The waitress only tended to the people sitting at the bar… Once I finally got my food, the steak sub was not how it was described on the menu and it was BURNT! meaning the steak was crunchy,the home cut fries where a multi colored of burntness…. I wouldn’t have fed that mess to my dog.. NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN

Have visited here twice so far, and think we found a nice little “neighborhood” bar. We like to go for Sunday football, as they have the NFL ticket. Bartenders are nice, and food is good. Only downfall is only I person working the bar and dining area, so service was a little slow. Other than that had a good time and nice Atmosphere.

I had the mushroom Swiss burger today along with onion rings. I have been in search of a great burger and this is it. Hands-down the best seasoned best cooked hamburger I have had in Portsmouth. Way better than gourmet Burger bistro, I’m not even kidding give it a shot. The service was simply nothing, but the best as well, I had a great time and will be going back.

Most importantly they have happy hour pretty much all day. Their food menu is reasonably priced and has a few surprising items. Such items would be crab dip, a BLT, a fish taco special on Tuesday, a hamburger steak special on Monday, and an ahi tuna sandwich.
