The old school retro look of this place is what got my attention. The waitress was very kind, it was earlier in the day and it wasn’t very busy at all. I normally love this place and I have never had any issues with the food or service. The other night we ordered some maid rite sandwiches. They were really greasy! They were so greasy the buns were wet. It was disgusting. We ate them because we were starving but they were not good. The food made my stomach hurt. My mom was sick throwing up all night. I believe the greasy sandwiches was what made her sick. I should have called and told them about it but I let it go. These sandwiches cost too much for them to be bad. I’ll go back but if I get bad food again I will not eat it and I tell them about it so they can give me better food or a refund.

Nice little gem we found. It doesn’t have a big selection to choose from, but the food was good. If you are by Rend Lake area and just looking for a sandwich, make the drive to this place. It was worth the drive!
