The best Italian food I’ve had so far. Intimate dining area (8 tables). Fast and courteous service. Excellent entree and dessert. No reservation accepted.

I’m a tourist who lucked into this place. Let me tell you about my experience. I walk into this little place and was greeted by this little older gentleman with a thick but understandable Italian accent. He was very friendly. At the table by the door we’re four or five men speaking Italian. There was no crazy or over the top romantic decor. Just an amazing authentic Italian atmosphere. The food was excellent. They use great quality olive oil. We’re coming back next time we’re in town!

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. We ordered the chicken meatballs, gnocchi, ravioli and it was all so amazing. It is a hole in the wall but it is a must if you are looking for Italian food in Long Beach. I was telling the server that it was the best Italian food I ever had and multiple people in the restaurant were shaking their head yes.

I live in Long beach and my brother coming to town from Indiana and he said he want Italian food, i said all the Italian food that i know closed on Monday so i let him pick the place and he said come meet at Cafe Gazelle. All i can say this place is truly gem. I wasn’t hungry at that time but i ate all of what we ordered and it was super delicious. Best Carbonara i have ever had.

Cute little spot. Minimal tables inside, some outside. Food is delicious, made fresh. Veggies such as tomatoes on bruschetta and green beans of the highest quality. Food is definitely made with passion and love of the craft.

Service was fantastic: friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Literally every food item was excellent. It was the best ravioli I have ever had. It is pretty teeny, so not good for a group, but five of us had a great dinner in an intimate setting.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Long Beach, I grew up with this restaurant. I still miss the one on Broadway, but I’m so glad the 2nd street location is still there. If you know about this place you know… pretty much unrivaled on the west coast, possibly even the world.

I love this restaurant!! It’s like being in Italy. The food is real Italian. It is so delicious, like a piece of heaven. A lifetime ago, it was favorite restaurant. I just moved back to this area and it is just as delicious as it was in my memory. My friend was in the mood for Italian, which is what made me remember this place. She agrees that it was devine. It’s very tiny, simple caffe. I like that it’s unpretentious. You are paying for the exquisite food and nothing else. I’ve had Italian food twice this week and the other place was good, but I paid a premium for the location. I plan to take all my out of tiwn guests here.

Delicious dishes made by, what my palate believes are masters in the kitchen. Freshly baked bread served first w/generous amounts of butter. Ordered gnocchis to begin, even the colorful garnish heightened the taste of the overall dish. This was a table favorite & we knew it at first, pleasantly textured, bite.

Small place, good for a date night, not large groups. Food is GREAT, you can feel the quality difference compared to other pasta restaurants. You don’t get the bloated feel since everything is actually fresh.
