The atmosphere is modest but the food is superlative! The Panang curry was excellent – heat and flavor balanced with nicely cooked veggies. The pad Thai was absolutely delicious! I strongly recommend McCaslin Thai!

First the positives: The one lady working the front of the restaurant was SUPER nice, friendly, attentive. The pricing was pretty good for the area, and the portions were sizeable/shareable. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a little rough. It was SO HOT in the dining area. The thermostat said 89 degrees. Neighboring restaurant had a sign up “closed to do HVAC issues” so I’ll chalk this one up to hopefully a one time problem. Because of this they had doors open, and flies were bugging us the whole meal. The food was a mix. Spring rolls and massaman curry were excellent. Drunken noodles were dripping in oil and the veggie moma was very odd. Presented nicely, but the flavor was not Thai – it was overwhelming Cumin based, and no one at the table wanted a second one. Maybe a bad night due to the HVAC, we will probably give them another shot dues to their proximity and the great reviews otherwise. I will update if this was a fluke.

My usual Thai place was closed so I gave this a try. Their service was good, they were out of something on my order so they called me to replace it on the fly. Unfortunately their food was very bland. I got the larb, which was big chunks of tomato, cucumber, and pork, no herbs and I couldn’t taste any rice powder either. I also got their fried shrimp, which didn’t have any seasoning in the batter and were overcooked. Their massaman curry had no peanuts, and was unpleasantly thick, there was also no tamarind flavor. Food was fresh, but severely lacking spice and flavor.

I ordered the drunken noodles with Thai tea and the food was excellent. The atmosphere in this restaurant was welcoming. This place is not too busy which makes it easy to order food inside. The place is located in a shopping plaza where parking is easy to find. My personal experience with the restaurant was friendly.

I’m new to Louisville and this was my first time checking this place out. I was NOT disappointed! From the fried tofu to the drunken noodles to the fried banana, everything was amazing! Fresh, perfectly seasoned and delicious! You can’t go wrong with anything here but definitely try the drunken noodles because these are the best I’ve ever had!

Worst place to go, i tried chicken satay as my son likes chicken, it was pathetic, it was undercooked and so hard to chew, even i couldn’t eat it, forget my toddler. Even if i complain, the service person was still smiling and didn’t acknowledge anything, I shoud’ve understood when there was not much crowd. Avoid this place if you want good food. Sorry for being negetive i hardly post but this one i thought i should share

Had the Red Curry and Pad Thai. We very much enjoyed both meals. Their ‘hot’ isn’t super hot. A good portion of thier menu is naturally gluten free. The staff was friendly.

I have waited awhile to try this place. I ordered the drunken noodles and was absolutely blown away. Like other reviews have pointed to, an impressive version of the style. Everything was fresh; the broccoli, peppers and carrots seemed hand cut to good size and were tender but not crunchy. I will be going back, thank you for being here!
