This place is hands down the best fried chicken restaurant around here! So fresh, with an amazing Louisiana flare. Ive had the chicken tenders, the fried liver and the gumbo. Best gumbo Ive had in awhile. All of the sides are on point too which is hard to find in alot of restaurants. I’ve tried the greens, mac n cheese, red beans and rice, and dirty rice. All made with love. I highly suggest this place! They don’t disappoint

Man, listen. I just moved here to FWB. I have been craving chicken and I already knew the regular places weren’t going to cut it. I had saw the Dixieland restaurant when moving into the storage unit. A few days later I decided to give it a try. This is the closest you will get to home made – this chicken is yummy . You have to try. Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself.

A must try! We are foodies and appreciate *flavor* and Dixieland Chicken delivered! They deserve all 5 stars and more! We tried the 2 piece bone-in meal and the 3 piece tender meal along with sides of Dixie Potatoes(so fresh, well seasoned and delicious!), Mac and cheese(very creamy, flavorful, cheesy, perfectly seasoned and delicious!) and the red beans and rice(at a chicken place?! So great!), each coming with delicious buttery toast and pickle slices. The value for what you get is unmatched compared to the many many other chicken restaurants we’ve tried, the US over. Plus a baby moon pie and a drink included? Wow! All the applause to you all, we will definitely tell our friends and will definitely be back! A plus was the pet friendly patio area, under a grouping of shade trees, absolutely perfect.

We gave in and decided to try this place… worst decision. We went in and was met with attitude from the get go. Guy from the back cooking was mad we came in about an hour before closing, stated well, guess you are lucky. Lady taking our order had a horrible attitude. We weren’t the only ones coming in at this time! Food took about 20 minutes, which was no big deal. Got home and my husband had the chicken livers, he stated they were ok. His sides, not so good. I ordered the pot pie, while I like some heat… it was so spicy I could barely eat it. The slaw was not good at all. All I could taste was the vinegar. Worst part… less than 30 minutes of us eating, I was horribly sick! I was sick most of the night. We will

Hands down the best chicken I’ve ever had outside of my wife’s cooking, and the best fried chicken ever, no qualifiers. Everything was served hot and fresh, and the seasoning on everything was superb. The prices are hard to beat, and the serving sizes are great too! If there was anything disappointing about this, it’s that I’ll have to drive back to Destin to get more because there’s no other place like it. They also have a nice patio area off to the side under the shade of a tree which cooled the area off greatly even under the afternoon Florida sun. It’s off the beaten path a bit, but could hold its own on the main beach row if they ever got a shot at it. My wife and I will definitely be back soon, and maybe even before we leave…

Let me tell you this place is AMAZING! I had their spicy chicken tenders with gumbo on the side. The tenders were the perfect level of spicy creole & definitely the best Louisiana gumbo I’ve had in awhile!

This place has the best chicken. Authentic Louisiana southern cooking. Give the coleslaw and creole potatoe salad a try! Its one of my favorite sides especially when its made with apple cider vinegar.

went for the first day of service, very little side portions, spicy chicken just had sauce poured over it, on the original chicken it was still spicy, on collard greens they were spicy, the main meals come with a regular drick, without asking the cashier automatically upgraded it to a large drink, and charged me an extra $0.75 for each meal.
