My first time visiting was a nice experience. I went in the late afternoon on a weekday, so it was hardly busy, which made it a quiet lunch break. I had the grilled onion burger where I added bacon for extra, but I didn’t realize it didn’t come with cheese. Overall, the burger tasted great without cheese. I wished I had more understanding of how to interpret the menu up high on the boards and the ingredient options listed on the counter. Burger size was about the same as fast food burger but tasted freshly made as did the French fries. French fries are small, so if you like a lot of fries, don’t share with anyone, everyone get their own. Nice place

Got the old fashion. Meat had no flavor, and it looked like it was the frozen kind. Fries not so good either. The ketchup and side of jalapeños had all the flavor. I asked for extra lettuce, and that’s all I got. Maybe I need to order something else next time. ‍♀️

First on a ~100* day it seemed like there was no air conditioning on and they were relying on a few small ceiling fans to cool the place. An example of the temperature was obvious since the cashier was constantly fanning herself. I work outside a lot so it wasn’t unbearable for me but it’s not pleasant trying to have a meal in a hot stuffy place. I don’t believe the owner was trying to conserve anything besides their cash by doing this.

Classic old school burger joint. No frills just good burgers and the usual sides. Service was friendly and the prices were fair. Our burgers, fries and onion rings came out hot and fresh. I really like their style of fries…classic and not overdone. I personally prefer rings made with a flakier, crispier batter BUT their rings are tasty and much better than lots of other places…but their are a few places that do have slightly better buns I think. Still, I will b back given the good service and easy n and out casualness of the joint.

It is almost as rare for me to give 1 star as it is for me to not finish a burger but both are true in this case. The meat just wasn’t quality and, as I took another unsatisfied bite, I looked across the street at Whataburger thinking that I should have gone there. I have high standards for burgers but it just wasn’t enjoyable. The fries were good though

Great home style burgers, you can’t go wrong here- it’s no wonder they’ve been in business this long. Their regular fries aren’t my favorite, but the sweet potato fries are to die for. I always get avocado added to my burger and it’s always fresh and never disappointing, you’ll definitely get full with these burgers.

Seriously great food. It’s what I think a burger should be. Fries are perfect. No meal specials but the food and vibe are outstanding. There’s a Whataburger across the street and, after eating here, I have no idea why anyone would go to a chain restaurant instead of southwells!

fries were good, burgers not so much. buns were soft but cold, tomatoe slices were green/ hard, jalapeños were cold, directly from can and smelled strange. I left with full belly but was overpriced for sad burger. $16 for what would’ve been better at whataburger for about $8. sorry, but I must be honest.
