The food and service was amazing!! Naomi is a total sweetheart that will help you get the most out of your hot pot experience with her recommendations! You can really tell she loves her job and the customers she serves! The store itself has such a fun vibe and high energy atmosphere! Overall, we loved it! Also, you HAVE to try their mochi! 🙂

First time dining in since they opened. Absolutely amazing experience! I had never had hot pot before, and the servers were so kind and patient in walking me through everything. All the ingredients were super fresh and delicious. I highly recommend adding the broth booster. The owners were there and were incredibly nice and accommodating. My partner has a soy allergy and they did everything they could to assure he had a great experience given that soy will be in a lot of the dishes since it is a Japanese restaurant. I can honestly say I have not had this level of top-notch service in a long, long time. Paired with the delicious meal, I will definitely be back and will not hesitate at all to recommend to friends and family.

Never ate here but did go in. You’re basically eating at a bar but paying fine dining prices. When they told me it was 20$ for the low end of the meats and at only 4 ounce portions. I laughed especially when you have to pay for each individual drink refill. By the time you even have a decent meal you’re going to be paying more than just going to an all you can eat version where you can get the “premium” cuts for the same price. So between the price and atmosphere I did something I rarely do and walked out. The only positive I have for this place was the service seemed to be attentive however we were only the third party at the place before we left after understanding the pricing.

Really like Tabu Shabu and it is a neat experience if you have not done it before. First off your are greeting by the team on entering, and it is bar top seating with your own hot plate area. The staff is very good at giving an overview of everything and the menu, as well as how it all works. Their recommendations are spot on and each of the staff have a favorite way of prepping their ingredients. Like it spicy let them know how spicy and they will recommend the noodles, type of broth and added spices/oils. Be sure to let them know if you don’t know yourself what “spicy” means to you (sweaty brow style? Sips of water between each bite? or just a bit of spice to liven things up?).

Tabu Shabu last night was a fun experience. The bar seating arrangement was a nice little twist to the typical shabu experience. The servers were attentive and checked on us often. The quality of meat was good, but the variety of vegetables was lacking. (We got a lot of spinach, which was still yummy, but could have included something like bok choy.) My partner chose the dashi broth, which was simple yet watery—this may have been a good choice to end with porridge. I chose the sukiyaki broth and it came with a raw egg on the side—the broth became quite salty after a few minutes because of it being a soy sauce base. I might want to try the tonkotsu broth next time to get more depth in flavors. We loved the garnishes and sauces that came with the meal though.

It was a great dining experience. The service was excellent as she took us through the process to make our meal. The food was fun to make and very fresh. Only criticism was I thought it was expensive for what you received however we will definitely be back.

As someone who recently moved from California and had endless options for Shabu/hot pot, I was sad to find there wasn’t a lot of options for this type of a meal—UNTIL I FOUND TABU SHABU. This restaurant is objectively delicious. The owners moved from California a few years ago and brought the delicious flavors with them. Also, the service and the staff are super friendly. Our server, Naomi, remembers us and greets us warmly at every visit. Come by and check it out—you won’t be disappointed!
