I was dying for falafel and hummus but didn’t feel like driving all the way to New Haven. I was looking for places and this was really the only one near me. Just want to say it’s a little confusing to find because it’s inside a gas station, but it is sooo worth it. The falafel is delicious and it’s served wrapped in a big pita. The man behind the counter and the man when I checked out were super nice. I will definitely be coming back regularly!

Joey, the owner hand delivered this himself! The Tabbouleh was some of the best I’ve ever had, the Hummus as well! You can tell everything is fresh & seasoned authentically. I will definitely be ordering my lunches from here!!

Ok it’s tucked in the back of a filling station, which is off putting, but omg the falafel is DELICIOUS. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Bad location, stunningly good food.

What’s not to like? Big portions, fair prices, really nice staff, and the food is delicious. We’ve liked everything we’ve tried here

Very pleasant surprised to get such quality falafel at a gas station kiosk. Joey’s Famous Falafel rivals those of Mamouns and Pitaziki and better yet you dont have to drive to New Haveb

I recently visited there 3 times in less than 2 months, my first couple eating experiences at Joey’s were much better than the last one I had. I ordered a few items (falafel over rice) wasn’t a great choice. The rice were not cooked well and no extra sauce was given. The owner makes sandwiches/order in front of you as soon you show up at the counter when asking for your order whether it’s ready or not for pick up. Looks like he doesn’t check the orders placed online as often he should. The only reason I go and buy from him is because it’s “Halal.”

I ordered 4 platters came to $47.00 dollars. When my husband came home with the order I was floored when I called he had no real justification for the gross overcharging ( look at the menu prices are 5 to 6 dollars tops). I will never go there again. I suggest you never go there. If I could give them a 1/2 of star I would.

I had had multiple people rave about Joey’s to me, and having gotten food from here a few times now, I’m raving too! I ordered in person once, and on Doordash the second time and both were a breeze. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had (which is saying something considering it’s one of my favorites), every item I’ve had tastes fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and outstanding. Very, very reasonably priced as well considering how quality everything is. I’m very glad to have this breath of fresh air in town and will be telling others about Joey’s!

OMG so good! I went here for lunch today after the Chamber suggested it to me and it did not disappoint! Joey was super friendly and helpful and chatted with me a bit before I got to ordering. I got the chicken kebab falafel and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried the tabouleh and it is to die for. Everything tasted so fresh and had so much flavor. Awesome prices too! Give it a try, it’s nice to have a new place to go in town that offers a different cuisine!
