If there was an option for zero stars I would pick that option. I have been going to the Smithfield’s in Wake Forest for years. After yesterday experience I will no longer go to this location. We went thru the drive thru around 8:30 PM last night to grab a late night dinner. As my husband ordered at the speaker he informed the cashier that he had a coupon. Once we arrived to the window to pay she asked to see the coupon. My husband hands it to her. She then proceeds to tell him that she needs to grab her manager to approve the coupon. No big deal. The “manager” then comes to the window. He was wearing a black polo and was extremely disrespectful. He talked over my husband and told him he could not use the coupon. The coupon had no expiration date and was $2 off. When the “manager” handed the coupon back to him he dropped it. My husbands tells him, you dropped it and the “manager” looked down at the coupon and rolled his eyes. Our daughter had to get out of the car and go around and pick the coupon up. If the coupon wasn’t excepted we could of been informed in a professional way, but being spoken to like we are ignorant is not okay. Instead we will take out money to a different location where we are treated with respect.

The employees were really nice. The service is always excellent. The drive-through line moves at rapid speed! Whenever I decide to dine in,the dining room is always spotless. Food is delicious! The snack meal with hush puppies is my favorite! This place is fantastic. Fried chicken is usually tasty and crispy. The sweet tea is delicious! I will most certainly return to this restaurant.

Smithfield is ok. I probably cant eat here as often as I like to otherwise Id roll in on a stretcher. Cool place, this loation had more newbiew so we had three order errors! Either way the barbeque was good and I felt like it was almost like Wilson’s barbeque! Anyway, great place, staff and customers were nice but, beware if you’re going on a sunday after church! They’re a little busy!

New review. On September 9th I visited this location and ordered a BBQ dinner with Brunswick stew and coleslaw. Hushpuppies were very small and thin. BBQ was salty oddly on part of the portion and not seasoned on some of the rest. Nothing like the food I had gotten in the past.

You use to have a 5 star from me, just deleted because we had the most awful take out meal. Our food was basically inedible. Stale cold fries and super dry chicken that reminds me of something overcooked and set under a food lamp for hours. In todays economy it sucks to waste money on food you cannot eat. I would very much like a refund or a credit for a chance at making it right. Saving my receipt in case someone in charge wants to reach out.

After a frustrating Monday, waiting 3hrs for car repairs, wanted something good to soothe my spirit, but how disappointing. I believe I got leftovers from lunch, after spending almost $14 for a chicken snack & ice tea but the only thing fresh & good was the ice tea…If you gonna sell leftovers, at least sell it half-priced! Everything gone up but Quality….smh!!!!
