This was my first time at Mikado. Just ordered the sushi. Had a taste of the volcano, the crunchie, the Vegas and the tnt. It was all pretty good. The spicy tnt was probably the favorite along with the highly recommended super crunchie, which had a great subtle sweetness to it. The service was absolutely excellent. The little rooms you can reserve were perfect for the little party we were having. Great atmosphere and decent sushi. Can’t complain to much.

First hibachi experience at Mikado and it was great! The server was amazing and so was the chef. Our daughter absolutely loves the show when we go to places like this and always has a blast if the chef is lively and interactive. It’s great! The sushi here was amazing too when we got it. I’m glad this little place is in town.

My daughter and I had the teppanyaki style dinner the other night, and it was amazing. The food was great and the chef was one of the best I have ever seen. Outstanding!!!!!!

The staff was nice and friendly I had sashimi and I got very small portions at $37 I left hungry and was disappointed I do not recommend sashimi at this place. Watch them cook hibachi and that look very good.

I would have given Mikado a Maximum 3 star. The service is average, I felt as though I were in a Denny’s (not the sushi bar atmosphere). The food was good, not great, but good. I have to say that the sushi chefs do tend to over cook the tempura rolls. Honestly, I probably won’t return. It’s a safe bet if you’re craving sushi, but the experience and food are not worth the price they charge.

I used to love this place, the quality of the sushi is still very good as of January 2020. However, the rolls are tiny compared to the price you pay. A year ago, the rolls were nice and large and proportional to the price. They need to increase the size of the rolls, otherwise its not really worth it. I spent 50 dollars and left hungry

This is the first Hibachi place that I have been that Rivals Benihana’s in Salt Lake City. The scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly. You know how some Hibachi chefs cook them way too long and they turn into little erasers but this was not the case. The service was phenomenal. There were two young men who tag teamed our table. And my glass never got less than 3/4 empty. Plates were removed promptly. Every need was taken care of before I even knew I needed it. The food was spectacular, but the service was the best I have experience in quite some time. It’s sad that I do not remember the young man’s name who was our primary server. But he was a master at his craft. I was thoroughly impressed.

Good was good overall but service was slow and our waitress was not very attention. It took her 25 minutes to get drinks out to us. 40 minutes for our soup and salad and over an hour for our chef to even come and prepare our entrees. Given it being a Friday night I can understand that they are busy and possibly short staffed, but I did not even see a floor manager roaming around that we could direct our concern too. I have been to better hibachi restaurants and will continue to go to the other restaurants over this one. Thus is the first and last time that I have come here and u will not be coming back.
