Amazing! Placed a last minute take out order and my food was ready relatively quickly. I ordered a bunch of mixed combo platters and everyone loved their order. Shahs’ rice is better than any other platter rice I’ve had. The lady at the register was so pleasant and helpful. Restaurant is nice and clean with plenty of sitting area. Portion sizes and price point is excellent. Highly recommend you check this place out.

I will say this has been the best Halal food I have every had. I ordered chicken and lamb over rice at 11pm and the food tasted fresh !!! The flavors are on point and was not salty like most halal places. Definitely would recommend!

Ordered the Lamb over salad mix and the chicken and lamb over rice combo and I must say this place is definitely underrated. In my opinion it’s one of the best halal places around. I ordered and received my food within 10 minutes. Oh and did I mention the baklava This place gets a A+ in my book

Let’s start off by acknowledging the beautiful spirits that greet you upon entering the restaurant. The staff is warm and inviting and TRUST that their recommendations are not misleading. I purchased a bottle of the white sauce and hot sauce. I’m waiting for them to bottle the cilantro dressing!!!! Now, me meal, the felafel gyro was flavorful and made to perfection. I haven’t tried my hummus yet because I’M STUFFED! I will definitely return.

The food is good. I ordered from them the very next day because it was good, but this time it wasn’t good. I asked for Extra White sauce ( didn’t get it) on either platter. I literally had about 7 pieces of lamb on the rice and just all rice, didn’t even finish it. The chicken was literally the size of salt. Very weird. I thought I found my new fav place, but the fact the inconsistency is literally less than a day apart, I won’t be back. Seriously guys, we pay for White sauce, stop sparring, Stop selling tiny portions of meat

One of my favorite go to halal places in Newark. The platters are great and the best part is you can completely customize the plates. The food tastes great and the portion sizes are nice. Especially with the price they’re worth a visit.

Shah’s food is so good! The restaurant is very clean! The food is fresh! The customer service is impecable! The ladies do not spare the sauce! As I am writing this review, it is my fourth time visiting and eating at Shah’s. I haven’t been disappointed once. Very nicely priced! Try it! You will like it! My favorite is lamb over rice with plenty of white sauce and some red sauce.
