This is a casual Mediterranean dinning restaurant. The food cuisine is from Egypt. Never tried Egyptian food before. Not sure if the food taste was authentic but the taste was definitely different from other Mediterranean Halal foods.

My family is fully-blooded Middle Eastern and the food at Ava Barsoum is AUTHENTIC. Food is made to order, which make the meals that much better. Simple and clean place with plenty of seating. Owners welcomed us with open arms immediately upon entering. Excellent experience. HIGHLY recommend for a low-key eat off of Route 9!!

The restaurants says they’re open until 9:00 pm on Sunday. We were excited to try Ava Barsoum for the first time. So we ordered online and paid. We arrived to pick up our food only to find the restaurant closed We had to call the company that takes their online orders to get a refund. So much fun since they say “They’re open.” NO, they’re not! I won’t be going back.

I love koshary. It’s a popular Egyptian dish. It’s made with rice, lentils, spaghetti and elbow pasta topped with fried onions and chick peas and tomato sauce with a spicy tomato sauce optional. It’s the best I’ve ever had. Definitely try it.

Food is extremely tasty, and cooked to order every time I am there. It is Egyptian food for anyone who is not sure. The 3 Brothers are extremely friendly and always give me good ideas of what to try. It It definitely better than the average Mediterranean restaurant. The picture below is fried steak, with lettuce and tomato, on a sandwich.

We tried this restaurant for the first time today. The place was clean and staff were polite and friendly. We tried beef pan kabob, chicken shawarma over rice and hawawshi. We enjoyed the food and we are definitely coming back.
