Hidden Gem right across from Lake Wohlford. You get a view of the lake if you sit inside by the window. Trish, our server, was super sweet. The food was delicious, portions were large, and pricing was comparable to any other mom and pop place. Inside decor has a country by the lake feel (perfect). I’m definitely coming back and would recommend a stop here for some breakfast before spending your day by the lake.

I thought this restaurant was great! The food was good – a perfect savory/sweet combo with the pancakes and French toast. The service was good – Trish was very friendly. Our food did take a while but I think it’s kind of the norm post covid, the restaurant was quite busy when we sat down (though not completely full). I also love the decor here, am envious of the way all the vintage wood dining sets fit together.

Excellent service, beautiful views and delicious food! We drove up for Sunday breakfast and had a great experience. I got the eggs benedict with home fries. Hubby got the chicken fries steak with hash browns and sourdough.

My wife had a high-pressure lawschool assignment due, so we came here hoping she could be fed and caffeinated while she worked. Trish was very attentive, making sure our needs were met through multiple cycles of eating and ordering. She even brought us out an extension cord let us stay past closing!

We came here after a job in the area and wow was it a great choice! You know when there’s a small homestyle restaurant in an out of the way area it’s gotta be good but wow, their fries are seasoned so perfect and the crispiness is delightful! I had the Ortega Bacon burger and it was out of this world! Really hoping we work in the area again soon because I’d love to try their other dishes like the catfish!

Good food. Way to expensive for a middle of no where country diner. 20$ for a double hamburger with bacon is way too much. Every time i come in this place everything goes up a couple dollars. If the new management is not careful she’s gonna price herself right out of business. Keep the menu simple and short. Prices on low and you’ll have all the business you’d ever want.

Lake Wolford Cafe is a delight little restaurant on the edge of lake. We went on a beautiful Sunday in search of the fried Catfish and hush puppies we read about in the SD Union Tribute. They were fabulous! We also ordered deep fried squash and avocados as our appetizer. Very tasty . Breakfast and lunch are served daily from 6am to 2pm.
