Humpy’s was founded in 1994 with the goal of providing downtown Anchorage a casual, neighborhood alehouse. Excellent food at reasonable prices, live local music and a fantastic selection of draught beers proved a winning combination, and Humpy’s was an overnight success. Humpy’s attracted loyal supporters in droves and revitalized the downtown nightlife scene.
Almost three decades later Humpy’s is still going strong – a favorite with locals and tourists alike. Their secret is offering a little something for everyone. Music fans come in to enjoy everything from acoustic to rock performed by popular local musicians. Sports fans watch their favorite teams on the Big Screens or one of our many large TVs.

The food was fresh and delicious I expected nothing less with how crowded the restaurant was. The menu is pretty dense and the portion sizes are huge. They do operate based on open seating and it is really popular so expect to wait and be patient because the staff is really kind. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and even had a few favorites! I think everything went pretty fast considering we did have to wait for a table to become available. The prices are affordable and you’re receiving quality dishes. I absolutely will be returning on my next visit!

We went on a Sunday night around 7:30 p.m., live band started at 8:00 p.m. and it was really fun. Good vibe, good food, prices are reasonable for the quality. There was quite a bit of a wait for our food other than that we had a great experience.

New in town and checking off the local spots. Bonnie our server was very friendly and helpful- We started with the smoked salmon spread, but really didn’t see the value in the mayo-based limited fish creation at $17. We followed it up with a Crabby Patty Melt (“meh, at best..crunchy but tasteless) and the Health Nut halibut (super tiny portion with a side of undercooked under seasoned veggies). Now on to the beers I had- (local)Black Spruce milk stout and the Ninkaski Bourbon Barrel Baltic porter….if you like a quality dark beer, these will both satisfy!!

The food and service here were great…our only complaint..it was so loud. You couldnt really hear yourself think or relax over a couple of drinks. But for a good meal…thumbs up. Very close to Westmark.

Love music on Saturday night when we went. 2nd time I’ve been here. The crabby patty melt was really good the first time I went. This time we tried so smoked salmon options and the smoked salmon tasted like it had a tint of liquid smoke in it which did not settle well with my stomach. Crab cake were great. We’d go back for a third time. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

A GREAT place for local flavors and funky atmosphere. Express train to flavor town! Salmon spread and king crab we top notch. Reindeer burger rocked and the halibut sandwich made Momma smile. Great selection of beer with a good local options.

I visited this Grill house in Anchorage, Alaska and ordered a Reindeer Hamburger. It’s delicious. It’s my first time to eat reindeer meat. And the place was packed with people when I arrived. The ambience is not that electrifying but the service is great. My order arrived within 5 minutes. However, both washrooms for men and women were out of order which was an inconvenience for me.

When you first walk in its a seat yourself kind of place and due to its popularity it was pretty busy but we wanted to wait because of the recommendations. We really didn’t wait to long. Our server was really nice and we didn’t wait long for anything. The hibiscus hard cider was delicious! I had the crab cake melt which was really good and my mom had the fried fish which she loved! I would def recommend this place.
