This was our first visit. We were pleasantly surprised!! The portions are huge, and the food was freshly prepared, hot, and delicious We will definitely be back again. I had the chicken & waffles and hubby had the turkey leg with Mac & cheese and greens! He also had a salad If you love good soul cooking and hip hop music this spot is for you when we walked in our waitress asked if we wanted them to change the music (rap was playin) we were like no.

I found this restaurant on TikTok so my husband and I went there for lunch. When I walked in the restaurant I noticed how clean it was and I was very pleased the ladies at the front counter were very friendly while taking our orders. Our food was ready within 15 minutes after placing the order, upon leaving the restaurant I checked my receipt and saw that I was charged for gratuity, which I didn’t understand because we didn’t dine in the restaurant. It was a take out order but the receipt said “dine in”and at this restaurant gratuity is automatically charged when dine in is selected according to my receipt. This mistake was likely due to the fact that the music in the restaurant was so loud that we had to yell to place our orders. I ordered a smoked turkey leg with greens, Mac and cheese as my two sides, my husband had the same but instead of Mac and cheese he got sweet potatoes also we ordered chicken and waffles. The food was steaming hot when we got it, the presentation of the food was nice and neat and the food portions were huge. The chicken and waffles where great. Everything else was good but it didn’t have the wow factor I was looking for. One thing that I do recommend for future customers is that you stir your side dishes before you eat them because the food is well seasoned on top but as long as you stir your sides you’ll be fine.

They have very good service, but I expected the food to taste better. The meat had too much of the smoke flavor for my liking, but the collard greens were very good. Also, if you just want the meat you will still be charged for the sides, they don’t tell you this when you ask for just the meat.

The food was good. The turkey leg was seasoned right and falling off the bone. Although the food was good, I waited over an hour for my order and charged 15% gratuity ($8.22) for a to go order.

First time visiting from out of town. The restaurant was clean and the servers were very nice. I got the turkey leg, greens and sweet potatoes. The greens would have been better if they weren’t sooooo salty. Overall, I would go again.

First of all it was hot as hell in that place! Second my food was not up to par. My turkey leg was dry and hard as hell. The collard greens were hard and the Mac and cheese had not seasoning whatsoever. I waited all day to eat because I just knew this food was going to be so good. Such a disappointment.

The parking lot needs major work but let’s get to the establishment and food itself. Upon entering it was hotter than the devil’s draws. I mean it was literally cool outside. My mom ordered the salmon and rice plate and it looked and tasted awful. The salmon wasn’t quality it had an old taste. I had the smoked turkey leg, greens, and Mac and cheese. The turkey leg was really flavorful and tender. The greens? I’ve had better. The mac was obviously box macaroni and cheese. The peach slushie was good. Them not having AC was the nail in the coffin for me though.

I had a new waitress and she told me that they did not have any Turkey legs and that’s what I really wanted. Luckily her boss heard her and corrected her and I got my Turkey leg with mac and cheese plus Greens. It was great. Plus they had frozen Kool Aid. Yessir. They are open late too. My new favorite spot. It was so much food too.

The young lady that served us did a very good job except she didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink which would have been exceptional so we left without getting any beverages but the food was very good & prepared very well and left us with the itis ☺️
