Roger’s Bar-B-Que was established in early 1945 by John and Mae Rodgers in West Point, Georgia. It was passed on to Richard and Mary Alice Rodgers in the early 1950’s. They continued in the home style cooking fashion until the early 1980’s when they retired, at which time Howard Birchfield became the new owner. In the summer of 1985 Eddie Striblin purchased the business along with all rights, recipes and cooking secrets. In a few short years, the once one-room take-out only restaurant has grown to three full size dine-in restaurants. The Hogansville, Georgia location was opened in 1999 and is owned by Eddie’s brother, Randy Striblin and is continuing “A Southern Tradition Since 1945”.

The girl at the register was nice.

It was decent for an interstate gas station stop. Food was average. The Brunswick stew looked like they ran it through a food proceasor. I have never had Brunswick Stew like that before. Service was just OK and the building was pretty nice. Prices were in line with what I expected for this area.

This a classic southern BBQ joint. Pork shoulder is the order of the day. The sauce is great and they’ve classic southern sides.

Nice venue, located in the food capital of Hogansville. Staff was very friendly. Food wasn’t the best barbecue but can be a nice meal if you’re hungry and in the area. The gazebo out front is a nice touch. Hopefully they will keep it maintained and looking beautiful for years to come!

Quick service, good southern country cooking, and excellent portion sizes. My wife and I stopped to fill up the tank while we continued our journey East from the West coast. We got caught in heavy rain and decided to stop and get something to eat while we waited out the storm. I took my wife to Rogers BBQ and it was her first BBQ experience, it did not disappoint! Side note: The restaurant is loaded with John Wayne decor which is awesome.

I had the bbq sandwich. It was good but needed sauce in my opinion. The waitress bought me a small sample container. I found out at checkout that about 50 cents was added to my bill for the sauce. I was surprised but was told it could not be taken off. The restaurant had good food, and service but I was not happy.

We stopped to eat here on our our to Florida. We love some barbeque, and one of our favorite things to do when we travel is to try different barbeque restaurants. My husband and I both agree we are glad we stopped at Roger’s Bar-B-Que and had dinner.

Not up to the high standards of Lagrange location. Very rude cashiers. Pricey for the quality of food and service. Couldn’t enjoy my dinner for screaming kids.

The service was great. The price was decent. THIS IS NOT A BBQ RESTAURANT!! The ribs and chicken tastes like they was baked in a over with a watery bbq sauce. The fish was fresh but lacked seasoning.

Their $12 burger fries and a drink is a frozen Bubba burger, unseasoned fries. The tea was the only thing good about the whole experience. I specifically asked the server if the fries came with the order and she lied to me.
