Hammond has 4 waffle houses. I’m guessing this one is mostly for people passing through on I12. It’s definitely the most convenient one if that’s you. But this is definitely the worst of the 4 waffle houses in Hammond. The service isn’t good, but I wouldn’t call it terrible. They weren’t rude, just slow. What really sticks out is that it’s super dirty. Not everything HAS to be sticky.

Poor management. Had her young children working there. Too much family drama going on. Cook doesn’t know how to make an omelet. Would not recommend. It was a lot better 4 yrs ago when we were here. Also bathroom needs a LOTof attention.

I got asked at least 10 times if I’m going to pay a 20% to go charge. It got to the point where I actually had to raise my voice, and make them confirm, that they know, I’m planning to pay the to go charge. They have a very small sign to inform people about this charge, and the person taking your order says NOTHING about it. 2 customers, who were here when I walked in, found out after their food was finished, they were unaware, got upset, and left empty handed.

Service was real slow omelet was brown. Place was amiss bathroom was filthy. Manager was really rude about the talking to her kids. That work there manager was very rude. Very very filthy. Me and my wife are truck drivers and spend a lot of money at waffle house every year would not recommend this one to my dog

I’ve never been to a Waffle House where the staff doesn’t greet you, doesn’t ask if you are dining in or take out. Hell the only two people I actually see working is the grill cook & managers. I don’t see a need to have three servers if only one them is gonna semi do their job. Soooo yeah I’ll definitely never come to this Waffle House again.

It’s Waffle House baby! First off I’ve been to hundreds of these as a trucker, they are always conveniently close to a Truck center. That being said you tend to get the service if the demographic area that surrounds them. But not at this location. I had the pleasure of being waited on by Dixie. This southern Gem took my order, got my drink and kept it refilled without me asking. She was super attentive and was efficient at her job. The location was busy and the line was running like a smooth oiled machine. Everyone had there place and position covered to a T. Food came out hot and quick and delicious. Stop in you won’t be disappointed and make sure you stop and see the Gangster Granny! Thank you Miss Dixie.

Walked into the waffle house at around 9 pm to get my all-star before bed and there was one customer besides me that this one old girl was talking to and another waitress sitting in the corner playing on her phone the one talking to the guy eating said “I’ll be right with you”and I guess was going to finish whatever they were talking about so I waited about five minutes the fat girl in the corner never moved and the other one was still talking to the other customer and I was like you know what go ahead and finish your conversation and left thinking with that kind of work ethic that’s probably the best she’ll ever do and won’t even be any good at that you’re working for tips and just let a good tipper walk out the door really bright future you have there oh and hair nets apparently aren’t required so keep a sharp eye out for it in your food
